The Maritzburg College Cycling Team have agreed to ride on behalf of Hero777 and Billy Macleod to raise awareness about Organ and Tissue Donations (especially since there is such a shortage of donors in KZN). Billy celebrates his second Amashova race since he underwent his heart transplant in 2022. Last year Cole Sellick rode with Billy in the 106km (13months post heart transplant) while Michael Barnardo, Adithya Naidoo, Caden Wood and Cole Baxter rode the 65km races on behalf of Billy and Hero777. #JoinOurTeam Maritzburg College has two exciting vacancies from term 1 of 2025. We are seeking a registered senior nursing sister to lead and manage a team in a busy Sanatorium environment, as part of the Maritzburg College Boarding Establishment. Reporting to the Deputy Headmaster of Boarding, the incumbent must be a team player, be able to work long hours and have the ability to work under pressure. Responsibilities will include providing emergency health care, maintaining hygiene and a healthy environment at the Sanatorium, and identifying both actual and potential health problems and providing referrals when necessary. This person also need to display sensitivity to the emotional well-being as well as health issues of boarders on a 24-hour basis, and with day scholars as required. Previous experience in a school environment and a Primary Health Care qualification will be an advantage. The second position is that of an experienced and suitable qualified Remedial English Educator - a person with a passion for teaching, especially learners who require learning support, to join our #RedBlackWhite family. A Bachelors teaching degree in LSEN/Inclusive/Special Needs' education or remedial English teaching experience are requirements for this position, as is involvement in both pastoral and co-curricular duties.
