In 1998 Uganda became the first country outside of South Africa in which MTN won a licence to connect people to the power of mobile. Within five years, MTN Uganda had one million subscribers. Today it has more than 20 million! Along the way, the operation chalked up many firsts including being the first telecoms company to list on the Uganda Securities Exchange, in 2021. Looking back on 26 years of achievement and growth, we salute the many stakeholders whose unwavering support has made MTN Uganda’s story one of unrivalled success. And the best is yet to come! Thank you, Uganda! Read more about our expansion: https://bit.ly/4h8arNX #30yearsofMTN #DoingGoodTogether

That moment sparked a design revolution, leading to the creation of MTN’s iconic yellow logo. What began as a late-night decision quickly transformed into the vibrant brand we know today.
