https://lnkd.in/dw2Fb2vE "We kickstarted the vision to become the world’s first digital hydronation in October 2023 at the Water and Hydrogen in a Digital Future Conference and Expo. We aim to become the center of excellence for water; since we have the most water, we should know the most about water. We want to emphasize the provision of water for human development while capacitating our people through research. We want to educate our citizens on not just the value of water for drinking, but in terms of its industrial potential, such as hydrogen fuel manufacturing, oxygen production, fisheries and irrigation systems. We want to help the region understand its water and help them develop."

So well said. Not only is water life, its the ultimate economic enabler too. There is no growth without water.
Founding Partner & GM @ Water Impact Partners | Strategic Growth Advisory Services for Water Technology Companies & Investors across Europe, MENA and North America.
Had an "intense" discussion with a large capital fund earlier today about why water will be good investments for the future, not only for the sheer impact, but also to support population growth and make sure that our global economies actually can support this growth. The argument was that renewable energy is more important, as it "fuels" the societies in a more sustainable way. Of course using renewable energy sources are in many cases better than the fossil counter parts, even through the "clean energy" sector, often referred to as solar and wind, took some hits in 2023. Mid-discussion, I simply had to draw up a few facts: - The investments in solar and wind was 1.7 trillion USD 2023. - The investments in water was 773 million USD in 2023. - It takes 11.500 liters of water to produce a solar panel (std. 1,6 sqm panel for residential use). - It takes 4.6 million liters of water to produce a 3 MV wind turbine. And I did not even begin to go into other industries like pumps, cables, data center cooling and a lot of other interesting stuff. Well there you have it. Water is key to so many things, not only for energy transition, but in many aspects of life. And that is EXACTLY why we need to take water and new water technologies much more serious as advisors, investors, corporates, politicians and alike. Bold water technology entrepreneurs are building so much great stuff out there and deserve far more backing and support than the non-paid never-ending "pilots" and dead-end time-consuming corporate accelerator programmes. They need support to scale with real customers, because with scale comes attention, and with attention comes funding, and with funding comes impact. #keepinnovating Water Impact Partners
