I recently ran a PlusNarrative Hackathon where we built a proof-of-concept demonstrating horizontal scaling principles using modern web technologies. Technical Implementation: • REST API built with Hono.js • Nginx configuration implementing round-robin load balancing • Containerized service instances for consistent deployment • Load testing with Grafana k6 This hands-on exploration provided valuable insights into: 1. Load balancer configuration best practices 2. Service instance management 3. Traffic distribution patterns 4.
