In addition to our numerous crop specialists, we also have an international chain team who understands retail and sales. This enables us to help retailers and other chain partners to ensure year-round availability of a high-quality product. R&D AT RIJK ZWAAN - WHERE GROUNDBREAKING IDEAS MATTER In order to develop new varieties and supply top-quality seeds, continuous innovation is essential. 40 percent of our colleagues is involved in research and development, and we invest around 30 percent of our annual turnover in R&D. The research departments of Rijk Zwaan use state of the art knowledge and technology to support our breeders in the efficient creation of new varieties. To achieve this goal, we continuously strive to enhance our expertise in basic plant biology, molecular analysis and data analysis. “Chào mừng đến với Hà Lan!” Welcome to the Netherlands! This week, we were happy to welcome a Vietnamese delegation from the Lam Dong region. We were especially honoured to see some familiar faces among the delegates, as some had also visited us last month for the grand opening of our new trial station in Vietnam. Our discussions with the group focused on how innovative growing systems and improved vegetable varieties can help them achieve more predictable, stable harvests while advancing the growth of their business. We also talked about how Rijk Zwaan is supporting Vietnamese growers in their transformation from traditional to modern horticulture. The group showed great interest in our seed processing centre, where we ensure all seeds are thoroughly checked for quality before being delivered to our customers. #vegetablebreeding #partnership #innovation
