Sanari Sunset Session: Insights on the Future of Work and Workplace Disruption Sanari Sunset Session co-hosted with Jack Hammer at our offices was a great success - a gathering filled with meaningful connections and thought-provoking discussions on the evolving world of work. We were privileged to have renowned speaker, author, and entrepreneur Debbie Goodman share her expertise on three critical trends shaping the workplace, which undeniably are shifting daily: 🔹 The Reversal of Diversity Initiatives In the US, diversity-focused programmes are being rapidly dismantled, with terms like “diversity” and even “women” being removed from public sector and corporate agendas. While some companies welcome this shift, others—despite valuing diversity—are feeling pressure to downplay its importance due to political shifts. 🔹 The Backlash Against Remote Work (#WFH) & Push for Office Return (#RTO) There is a major to drive to get staff back in office. Whilst this may be beneficial for junior talent from a learning and social perspective, senior talent are less willing to go back to the way things were. Jack Hammer’s recruitment insights confirm this trend: top talent are making career decisions based on flexibility, with many opting to leave rigid environments for more adaptable work models. 🔹 Tech, AI, and the Rise of White-Collar Job Disruption While a white-collar recession is unfolding in the US, the ripple effects are yet to fully reach our markets in Africa. However, as AI and automation enhance productivity, fewer traditional roles will be required—a shift businesses and individuals must prepare for and adapt to. With Sanari’s strong focus on human enablement as a driver of business success, we are proud of this collaboration with Jack Hammer Global—Africa’s largest executive search boutique with an on-the-ground presence in key markets across the continent. The conversation doesn’t stop here. How is your organisation adapting to these trends? 👇 #FutureOfWork #Leadership #BusinessTransformation
