DSAC Exhibition and SAMA Conference The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) team joined the DSAC Exhibition and SAMA conference this year to showcase exhibitions about 30 year of democracy. The SAHRA colleagues also engaged with exciting conversations regarding. Digital Revolution: South African museums and the fourth industrial revolution - foregrounding relevance and securing the future of museums. The conference is being held in Bloemfontein between 2nd to the 5th September 2024, it aims to gather museums professionals, educators, researchers, and stakeholders from across South Africa as well as internationally to explore new and innovation digital approaches to collection management, conservation, exhibition, education, and research within the museum sector. The video exhibition will be running throughout the entire heritage month of September. And is open to the public for viewing . Adv. Lungisa Malgas, the CEO of the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), is currently in China as part of a high-level delegation accompanying President Cyril Ramaphosa for the China-Africa Forum. SAHRA signed a landmark agreement with the National Cultural Heritage Administration of the People's Republic of China. This agreement aims to foster greater cooperation between South Africa and China in the preservation and management of cultural heritage, marking a new chapter in bilateral relations focused on safeguarding and promoting the rich cultural histories of both nations.

SAHRA officials joined by the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture officials together with various stakeholders from the South African Heritage sector in Lusaka, Zambia for the Exhumation and Repatriation of the South African liberation heroes and heroines that are buried in Zambia. The families of the deceased were brought over to conduct spiritual repatriation of their loved ones. Stay tuned for more developments of the programme.
