We were honoured to attend the commissioning ceremony of the Lemi Cement Plant in Addis Ababa, by our client West China Cement (WCC). As we support WCC in a number of markets across the continent, we congratulate them and the East African Holding Company on the opening of their first 10,000T/D clinker cement production line in Ethiopia, the largest cement plant in Africa. The East African region is a significant region of growth opportunities for the Standard Bank Group, and the public-private sector cooperation between China and Africa continues to enable the rapid development of key infrastructure projects to meet the growing demands for national development and job creation in the industrial, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. #GrowingAfrica
