I have worked for South Point since 2021 under various roles. Working as a Resident Assistant Mentor has completely impacted me in the best ways possible! 💁♀️I got a taste of the corporate world, got to engage and navigate meeting client expectations and got to manage a team of wonderful and committed Resident Assistants!After such a great year, it is a little bittersweet to announce that I will no longer be working as a Resident Assistant Mentor. The Wits Rugby Internal Residence League is an annual tournament that occurs within a space of a month where amateur rugby players from all the Wits Residences and off-campus student accommodations go head-to-head on a knock-out style tournament. Each student accommodation forms a squad consisting of 28 players. The tournament took place at the main Wits Rugby Stadium. Our Southpoint rugby team participated in 4 matches and managed to win 2 matches, drew 1 and lost 1. Even though we did not make it to the finals, we are very proud of our boys, well done to the team and Sinako Dyobiso as the coach. We would like to thank the organizers and the Wits team for organizing this amazing initiative. We are excited and proud to announce the promotion of Tshegofatso Diale to the position of Residence Manager in Pretoria, effective from 01 October 2024. Tshegofatso’s journey with South Point began in 2015 when he joined us as a Student Administrator on a fixed-term contract. Over the years, he has demonstrated dedication and versatility by taking on various roles, including Stores Assistant and Keyshop Assistant. His relentless hard work and focused commitment led to his permanent appointment as Facilities Administrator in May 2023. Now, just a year later, we are delighted to recognise Tshegofatso’s continued growth and contributions with this well-deserved promotion.
