My name is Craig, and I've been sober for two to three years now. I experienced a period of homelessness lasting about six months. Throughout this journey, I've cultivated a deep sense of gratitude. Firstly, I'm grateful for life itself, and secondly, for the stable living situation I currently have. My vision for the future is one of continuous progress. Currently, I'm undergoing training to become a U-turn store manager, and my goal is to excel in this role. Additionally, I aspire to contribute positively to society, striving to be a good member of the community. In summary, my journey with U-turn from homelessness to sobriety has filled me with a profound appreciation for life and a drive to succeed both personally and professionally, while making meaningful contributions to society. #homeless #Uturn #southafrica #charityshop #thrift #purchasewithpurpose #addiction

Mrs Humile Mashatile, wife of Mr Paul Mashatile, Deputy President of South Africa visited U-turn Homeless Ministries today. Mrs Mashatile took the time to interact with homeless clients and share encouraging words with them. She also had the opportunity to hear testimonies from our formerly homeless champions and understand the challenges of poverty and addiction they suffered before joining the U-turn programme. She got her hands dirty at Living Roots Nursery where she learnt about propagation from one of our champs.

Meet Roxanne! This past week, Champions were taught soft skills for reception etiquette. Roxanne, U-turn Champion staying at Barrington Transitional House said: "I look forward to my journey.
