uMngeni-uThukela Water (UUW) extends its warmest congratulations to Mbali Sibiya (Process Services), Samke Gumede (Strategy Management), and Sbusiso Khuboni (Laboratory Services) on their recent appointment to the Interim Committee of the South African Water & Sanitation Youth Network (SAWSYN). The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), as a leader and custodian of the sector, recently launched the Young Water Professionals Network during the 2024 Youth Indaba held in Polokwane. This network was created to bring together young professionals - both technical and non-technical - across the sector and reports to the national DWS through the office of the Chief Directorate: IGR, ST & PC. The primary aim of SAWSYN is to support the growth and development of young professionals within the water and sanitation sector. It seeks to foster a shared understanding of water and sanitation programs at local, regional, and international levels while driving transformation, innovation, and information access in the sector. We look forward to seeing the valuable contributions and positive impact that Mbali, Samke, and Sbusiso will bring to their roles within the Interim Committee as they proudly represent UUW. #YouthInWater #SAWSYN #YoungWaterProfessionals #YouthEmpowerment #WaterAndSanitation #uMngeniuThukelaWater #1WaterBoardForKZN
