As an HR leader, you cannot manage your people the same way. Here's what this REALLY means... The experienced people on your team are different from those who aren't. 👉 Those with LESS experience typically need more: -- direction -- monitoring -- training 👉 Those with MORE experience typically need more: -- empowerment -- autonomy -- support If you want to bring out the best in your people, it's essential to check in with each person individually -- assess their progress and needs -- so you can CHANGE your style to enable their success in the best way. Recognize, however, that EVERYONE benefits from timely feedback and encouragement. 👉 Here's an analogy... The successful piano player uses ALL the keys -- but adapts them to create harmonies. That is precisely what successful leaders do when they adapt their leadership style to different individuals -- to create successful results. Just some food for thought. Your thoughts? --- 📌 P.S. - HR Leaders - Want more successful strategies for managing your team when you're in a new role? >> These are NOT job perks: - Salary - Training - Overtime - Free parking - Team socials - Free uniform - Casual Fridays - Flexible working - Remote working - Free tea and coffee - Pension contributions - Equipment to do your job - The legal amount of annual leave Today, these are simply the basics. People expect more — it’s not about casual Fridays or an assortment of teas. In fact, emphasizing these things can backfire. It may leave people questioning what they’re really getting for their efforts. Modern employees are seeking something different. They want: - Benefits that reduce stress - Benefits that encourage healthy lifestyles - Benefits that offer flexibility and independence - Benefits that provide experiences, not just things - Benefits that focus on personal and professional growth - Benefits that create a sense of connection and belonging In this age of fierce competition, benefits shouldn't just be "perks on paper." They should be viewed as TOOLS. Tools that address real challenges across generations. P.S. What do you think? I work with leaders to achieve breakthrough results | 1,300 leaders can’t be wrong | Together, we fuel high performance in your team | We close the strategy to execution gap | We unlock your full potential

Do you feel your organization is trying to do too many things simultaneously…         If so, you echo the number one complaint I hear.   I regularly do an exercise asking people to reflect on the consequences of NOT prioritizing…   The results are bleak even somewhat terrifying. The graphic highlights some highlights of what people share.   The key takeaway is that nobody would want to work in such an organization…yet many organizations really struggle with prioritization. Or, as I like to say, they don't prioritize prioritization.   So, what can be done to remedy this?   1. Everything starts with having a clear shared objective and strategy to achieve it. 2. Then define strategic initiatives (projects, activities) that ensure you achieve your objective within a defined timeframe. 3. Next, you ruthlessly prioritize these initiatives by realistically assessing your capacity (bandwidth) and available competence to achieve them. 4. Review progress consistently. 5. Reprioritize as you make progress and the strategy evolves.   Where do most organizations falter? It's in the prioritizing part. They are unable to say no to things and keep endless lists, which disperses focus, resources, and impact.   What are - in your experience the consequences of not prioritizing effectively?   Jakob   #leadership #prioritisation   PS. If you find this valuable, please share it with your network and follow me for regular impactful leadership insights! Jakob Bovin Thanks!

Founder & CEO, Founder OS | Proven systems to grow a profitable audience with organic content.

Mark Twain once said: "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." Here’s how to find your ‘why’: The catalyst for finding your why is a concept called Ikigai. It’s a Japanese word that translates to "reason for being." I came across it years ago when I was completely lost and didn’t know where to go. This simple exercise transformed my life. Ikigai is the intersection of four crucial elements: 1. What you love 2. What you're good at 3. What the world needs 4. What you can be paid for Finding this sweet spot is like unlocking your personal cheat code for success and happiness. Here’s what mine looks like: At the end of this exercise, you will find a few topics in the center of the diagram. This becomes your compass that guides you towards work that aligns with your values. Follow this path and you will never have to work a day in your life. You’ll live "Every Day Retirement." I speak from experience here. After discovering my Ikigai and aligning my business with it, everything changed. My audience exploded: • Twitter grew to 350K • LinkedIn grew to 700K • Newsletter subscribers grew to 137K Never underestimate the power of clarity. After finding your purpose, internalize these 5 golden rules of Ikigai: • Take it slow, enjoy the journey • Surround yourself with positivity • Reconnect with Nature • Give thanks • Follow your ikigai Master these to live a calm and fulfilled life. 1. Take It Slow, Enjoy The Journey Solutions come when we stop forcing them. Sooner or later, you realize you don’t need to be in such a rush. The goal isn't just to get there. It's to have fun along the way. You’re not in a race; you’re in a marathon. 2. Surround Yourself With Positivity People are everything. Recruit A-players who believe in your mission and learn from mentors 10 steps ahead of you. “You’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with” - Jim Rohn Surround yourself with people who inspire you. 3. Reconnect With Nature Take regular breaks in nature. It resets your mind and provides fresh perspectives. "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." - Lao Tzu Embrace the fact that nature is your greatest mentor. 4. Give Thanks Gratitude will show you that true fulfillment doesn't come from external sources but from self-awareness. When I'm in a slump, being grateful always pulls me out of it by putting my problems in perspective. It turns what I have into enough. 5. Follow Your Ikigai You have just discovered what sets your soul on fire. When you align your business with your purpose, your energy becomes electric. Without it, I wouldn’t have reached my full potential. — Enjoy this? ♻️ Repost it to your network and follow Matt Gray for more. Want to Learn How I Scaled From 100 Followers to 100k In 90 days?
