Our final panel of the day at Electra Mining Africa one-day conference which led us into lunch and a time of networking (to practice those learnt skills) was the panel on ‘The Power of Networking and Engaging’. It highlighted the critical role relationships play in advancing business opportunities within the mining industry. Our second panel discussion was "Financial management for sustainable women led business" The main theme in this section was the importance of compliance when running a business. Pamella Ndzumo highlighted the different types of compliances business must adhere to and why this is important when looking at sustainability. Lornelle Jonas highlighted the importance of having a financial system as a way to help manage the company's finances. Tech is now available to assist businesses to have accesses to financial services without having to pay hefty prices . Mbali Sibisi gave great presentation on how women can access funding for their businesses and how they should package their businesses in order to attract funding. Reflecting on the great conference we had yesterday at Electra Mining Africa . We started the day on a bang with a panel discussion on "Leveraging technology to build sustainable women-led business". Our panelists shared great Nuggets on how technology is leveling the playing field in the mining industry for women to participate more in the industry. There was a great focus on how women should start innovating and thinking for the future. Thanks to Hulisani Mabe, Dr. Gargi Mishra (PhD) ,Lindy Scott, and Mbali Milanzi who kept the room engaged as they shared their personal experiences with tech. It was highlighted that if businesses are not innovating and keeping with the trends , they will definitely be left behind.
