  • After 12 months as a Flavour Application Scientist as #SensientMzansi we took some time to chat with Lehlohonolo Debeers on what energizes her about working at Sensient Technologies South Africa - here is what she had to say: 1. Why did you choose Sensient? 😎 The culture of the organization stood out to me during my research and was further evident when I came for the interview. I knew I wanted to be part of it. I was looking for an environment where I could thrive both professionally and personally, while adding value and contributing to the success of the business. Sensient is a professional organization with strong leadership and takes pride in producing and supplying high-quality products. 2. What makes you proud to work for Sensient? 💡 I am proud to work at Sensient because it is a professional work environment that supports employee growth and personal development. The work environment is great, with friendly people who are always willing to help. It is an organization that prioritizes its customers and employees. The culture emphasizes safety, integrity, and respect for everyone. There are opportunities for growth, I learn new things every day, and it allows me to be creative and innovative. The company provides support and resources to ensure that we perform our duties effectively, with additional support and guidance from management. 3. What has been the most important learning you have gained from working at Sensient? 👏 The most important lesson I have learned is the power of collaboration. Working together and supporting each other can help achieve greater results in a shorter space of time. Additionally, I have learned about the wide range of products we supply, the innovative technologies we use, and the unique products specifically designed to meet the ever-changing needs of consumers. 4. Which of the Sensient 6 values do you believe you embody and why? 🙌 I believe I embody the value of being customer-focused. I always ensure that I meet and exceed the needs of both internal and external customers. As a Flavour Application Scientist, it’s crucial for me to support the sales and technical teams. Therefore, having a strong understanding of what the customer requires enables me to meet their expectations effectively.

  • In May Alexandra Rust - Sensient South Africa's Innovation Associate had the opportunity to train at Sensient's Centre of Excellence in Geesthacht, Germany.     I am excited to share that I have obtained the Pieter van Twisk Academic Acievement Award of SAAFost! 🎉 🎉 This was awarded to the most outstanding final-year student in the BScAgric degree programme with specialisation in Food Science and Technology or the BScHons FoodScience degree programme. I would like to thank everyone who made this possible - to my family and friends, lecturers and all the amazing people I met along the way. I could not have done this without you. ❤️
