We at Common Wellbeing are excited to announce a new direction for our organization and the work we undertake to make wellbeing common for all. While we have been operating under the name Common Wellbeing here in Zambia, we are proud to launch the new name for our local organization, KUWALA. KUWALA is a local Zambian NGO dedicated to empowering women with the skills, opportunities, and resources to end poverty for themselves, their families, and their communities. It provides women who are living in poverty with comprehensive training on how to generate income, effectively manage and save their earnings, launch their businesses, increase the value of their products, and expand their enterprises. KUWALA aims to create a ripple effect of economic empowerment, uplifting not just the women it directly works with, but also advancing sustainable development within their communities. We're also excited to announce Eunice Siakachoma as the new Executive Director of KUWALA, a dynamic leader set to drive the organization’s mission of women's empowerment and advance the broader goals of Common Wellbeing. Since our inception, our mission has been centered on improving the health and wellbeing of people living in impoverished communities. So while KUWALA will be focused on supporting women in their rise from poverty to wellbeing, Common Wellbeing will be taking on a new identity as a separate US-based organization. This revamped organization will be dedicated to launching and supporting locally-led organizations, like KUWALA, helping them scale their wellbeing solutions throughout the world. Zambia will remain our initial focus, but we have visions of reaching communities far and wide. Thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission. Together, we can make a lasting impact. We proudly support KUWALA and we hope you will too! Follow KUWALA here: Kuwala Zambia Rees Reiner Founder, Kuwala Zambia Country Director, Common Wellbeing
