About us
The Lead Me Back Foundation is an NGO in Zambia established in 2021 to promote quality education, good health and well-being for vulnerable communities and Climate Literacy. Under Quality Education we run a project called “Guardian for a Year” in five districts in Zambia. The project helps vulnerable children in rural and marginalized Zambian communities have access to quality education unhindered by providing them with school books, backpacks, shoes, stationery, and uniforms. The organization has partnered with Individual Donors, Corporate Companies, and the Ministry of Education to implement this project. We have made over 350,000 donations in the form of different school essentials in Zambian vulnerable schools. In our pursuit of Good Health and Well-Being, we proudly spearhead Ubumi Care Clinics in rural regions, delivering free access to healthcare for underserved communities. These clinics stand as beacons of support, bolstering the Zambian government's endeavours to ensure every individual has equitable access to basic medical services, right within their localities. Our collaborative efforts with individual donors, corporate partners, and governmental bodies have enabled us to make a meaningful impact, touching the lives of countless children and families across the country. As we move forward, we remain committed to our mission of creating a healthier, more equitable society for all Zambians, one where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

We understand the transformative impact education has on an individual, community, country, and the globe. That is why we are deeply committed to being a beacon of hope for vulnerable children. Over the past three years, we have donated over 350, 000 school essentials to provide educational support, and we take pride in the fact that this has been on a progressive scale. In 2021, as an inaugural project, Guardian For A Year saw about 50 children through school in Lusaka and Ndola Combined. Through the support from Lead Me Back guardians, donors, and corporate sponsors, we spread to three more towns between 2022 and 2023. Today we stand proud of impacting over 120 students by giving them school essentials and mentorship, that lay the groundwork for a better future. We aim to improve our impact every year. Join us on this mission by purchasing a ticket to our fundraiser today. #Dineforthestars #fundraisingevent #qualityeducation

Did you know? Having a male relative who has had breast cancer increases your chances of having breast cancer. This is true if this relative is a close one such as; a brother, son, or father. If you are in such a setting, be advised to see a doctor for further evaluation if cancer genetically runs in your family. #October #BreastCancerAwareness #GoodHealthAndWell-being #SDG3

As the world celebrates the International Day of the Girl Child under the theme of “Girl’s Vision for the Future”, we are reminded of our mission to fight gender inequality in education. Lead Me Back Foundation remains committed to ensuring equal access to quality education for young girls. We uphold equity by ensuring that at least 60% of the Guardian for a year beneficiaries are girls. Happy International Day of the Girl Child. Let us together invest in the education of the girl child and give them a chance at realizing their full potential. #LeadMeBackFoundation #InternationalDayOfTheGirlChild #Equality

To finance SDG 4, the United Nations recommends at least 15-20% of the budget, or 4-6% of the GDP, be spent on Education. In the 2025 proposed National Budget the Government of Zambia is projected to spend 14.5% of the budget on education to improve access and ensure quality in education. Government efforts towards the attainment of SDG4 are progressive. However, there is a need for complementary efforts from citizens and civil societies. Did you know that by partnering with us on our education programs you would contribute to the attainment of SDG4, improving access to quality education for rural Zambia? Join hands with us today and drive the change Zambia needs! #QualityEducation #EducationForAll #SDG4 #LMBF
