Lukanga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LgWSC) is a private Company established under the Companies’ Act No 10 of 2017. It was incorporated on 21st March 2006 as a Commercial Water Utility (CU) Limited by shares wholly owned by the Local Authorities in Central Province. The CU was established as part of the GRZ water sub-sector reforms to improve delivery of water supply and sanitation services in the Province.

  • TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR THEFT OF WATER PIPES Police in Kabwe have arrested two individuals for alleged theft of water pipes in Five-Acres compound in Mukobeko belonging to Lukanga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LgWSC). Police recovered assorted steel pipes, among them, 8 inch and 6-inch steel pipes measuring about four meters each with an estimated value of K39,100. LgWSC received a tip off from a concerned member of the public about the theft on Wednesday, 21st February 2024. The suspects identified as Douglas Mangambwa, aged 31 and Fred Bwalya, aged 18, are currently detained at Bwacha Police Station in Kabwe awaiting court appearance. As a Commercial Utility (CU) we appreciate the vigilance by the concerned community members who alerted us of this theft. Protecting company infrastructure calls for collaborated efforts between the company and the community. We further remind members of the public that it is an offence to temper with company infrastructure as provided for under the Water Supply and Sanitation Act, number 28 of 1997. We appeal to members of the public to promptly report suspicious activities of vandalism, theft or tempering in any way of company infrastructure by calling 0950 833838 or simply reporting to the nearest police station. #LgWSC #CommunityInvolvement

If you've forgotten your Account Number, refer to the billing message from LgWSC for the month. If you're not registered for our Bulk Messaging System, provide your physical address, and our customer service office at 0950 833838 or for Kabwe only 0950 589727 will assist in retrieving your Account Number. 2. Online payment prompts ask for a Meter Number, what should I do? When prompted for a Meter Number during online payments, use your Account Number instead. 3. How can I confirm a successful payment? Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation message notifying you of the transaction. 4. Should I inform LgWSC after a successful transaction? No, there is no need to inform LgWSC.   • In a proactive endeavor to enhance water and sanitation services within the Kohima and Chindwin army cantonments, Lukanga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LgWSC) has initiated a comprehensive, multi-sectoral consultative process. On Monday 15th of January 2024, LgWSC participated in a series of strategic meetings in Kabwe, engaging with key stakeholders such as the office of the Kabwe Central Member of Parliament, Honourable Chrizoster Phiri, Ministry of Defense officials, Brigadier General Sepiso Mashanda of the Second Infantry Brigade, and Brigadier General Mwilu, the Commander of Kohima Barracks. These discussions aimed to address the pressing water and sanitation issues within the Kohima and Chindwin barracks. Following the meetings, a dedicated team from LgWSC, led by Managing Director Yoram Sinyangwe, in collaboration with officials from the Ministry of Defense and the Office of the Kabwe Central Member of Parliament, conducted on-site assessments of the water and sanitation conditions in Chindwin and Kohima barracks. LgWSC envisions the initiation of two significant projects this year, supported by funding from the European Union and the African Development Bank (ADB), to substantially enhance water and sanitation facilities in the army cantonments. The collaborative efforts with the mentioned stakeholders underline LgWSC's commitment to addressing critical challenges in these areas. Furthermore, demonstrating a commitment to local development, the Office of the Kabwe Central Member of Parliament has pledged to utilize the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to enhance the water reticulation system at Chindwin Barracks Secondary School.   • Lukanga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LgWSC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security successfully held a Two-Day Corporate Governance Training workshop for newly elected Zambia Water and Sanitation Engineering and Allied Workers Union (ZWASEAWU) Lukanga Water Branch Executive. The workshop that was held from 03 January 2023 to 05 January 2023 at Fringila Lodge, Chisamba, was aimed at fostering a mutually beneficial relationship between LgWSC management and the union.
