Lusaka International Community School (LICS) reposted this
Another major milestone for us as a team, and definitely one of the most exciting moments in the Koloso journey to date! Yesterday we did our "Welcome to Koloso" presentation to primary teachers at the Lusaka International Community School (LICS), as they prepare to start using our formative assessment product in their classrooms from next week. Spending quality time with our early adopters - understanding teachers' needs and concerns, hearing suggestions for the future, and guaging the response to the benefits we aim to deliver - is one of the privileges and pleasures of reaching this stage of product development. At Koloso we are deeply committed to building a meaningful, interactive and mutually beneficial relationship with all of our subscription schools. We are determined to deliver an exceptional product that empowers teachers, students and parents, providing the learning data and gap analysis they each need to guide instruction, study and support - and to do this, we will take every opportunity to listen to our users! We look forward to continuing the conversation with the LICS team and learning more and more from them as they use Koloso in real life, and to having similar engagement with many other schools in Zambia and beyond!

Golf Hub came and gave a demonstration session to EY Yellow, Reception and Year 1 learners and parents. The event focused on the use of a new technology called SNAG Golf, which is the best first-touch program to teach the game of golf to first-time players effectively. GolfHub was impressed with the interest shown by learners and hopes to offer sessions to them in the second half of the term.

The LICS Arts Academy transformed the school into a hub of creativity and talent last week as students, staff, and families gathered for the LICS Arts Festival. From vocal ensemble groups to individual instrumental this provided students with a platform to share their passions and talents while bringing the community together in celebration of the arts. Special thanks goes to Natasha Evans a local artist and South African guest adjudicator Kobus Buys who gave all learners professional encouragement and feedback. Thank you Baobab College ZM, British International Primary School - BIPS, Martin House, American International School of Lusaka Home of Happiness, Fangyun Lily for all the performances and awards won.

To enhance and enrich our provision for young learners, we incorporate elements of international best practice and this includes a component of the Montessori programme called ‘Practical Life Skills’ which are activities of everyday life. During ‘Skills Week’ learners took part in practical life activities related to self-care, care of the environment and social skills.
