Zamtel at the 6th Sun FM Kwacha Music Awards The Kwacha Music Awards was a fantastic celebration of Zambian music. Team Zamtel was proud to be part of this incredible event, not just as sponsors, but as happy attendees led by our inspiring Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Juliet Leo Mukonde, and our dynamic Chief Marketing Officer, Ms. Comfort Nyondo. Our own Kalenga Mubanga, Coordinator of Corporate Affairs and Public Relations, had the honor of presenting the Best Folk/Indigenous Music award to Moses Sakala and Angela Nyirenda for Lishombe. This recognition shone a spotlight on the incredible artists who keep the spirit and roots of Zambia alive through their music. To all the nominees and winners: congratulations on this well-deserved recognition of your talent! And a special thank you to Sun FM’s remarkable team for their passion, vision, and hard work in creating such a memorable celebration of our musicians. As William Shakespeare said, “If music is the food of love, play on.” Here’s to more music, more love, and an even brighter future for Zambian music!

In the spirit of Independence, our team had the privilege of spending a meaningful day with the amazing children at ‘Home of Happiness,’ a local orphanage caring for 84 vulnerable, orphaned and differently abled children. Engaging with these kids was both heartwarming and inspiring for us as a team. We shared laughter, stories, and activities, reminding us of the joy that comes from truly connecting and supporting the most vulnerable in our communities. Together, we’re committed to making a positive impact in our community, especially as we celebrate the Diamond Jubilee Independence Anniversary. We are proud to have made a donation to support their education and well-being, and we committed ourselves to continue supporting the orphanage beyond just today. This is what we live for, celebrating independence by making the day better for others.
