Today I want to recognise how one of our Interns - (thanks to Impact Hub Harare for good training) really showed up for a one of the Viewers who was joining a Funeral Stream from Australia and she wanted to get a note and send flowers. We are in our MVP stage and are really focussed on getting all our technology right and it becomes so easy to forget what we are actually doing: Which is helping people connect Well done to @tapiwa who ensured this note was delivered. While we are a Tech Company - one of our CORE values is *COMPASSION* and this is so much harder to interview and find. We are thrilled that one of our Junior members on the team is holding up the TORCH for all of us who help families and friends in such a tough time.

  • Empowering Women in Tech: A Celebration of International Women’s Day at St. John’s Emerald Hill On March 8, 2025, we hosted an inspiring International Women’s Day event, bringing together more than 200 students from St. John’s Emerald Hill, Chishawasha, Dominican Convent, Marlborough, and Emerald Hill School for the Deaf to explore career opportunities in technology and celebrate women’s achievements in the field. The event featured an impactful keynote speech by Ethel Bangwayo (Head of the Prosperity Unit at UNDP Zimbabwe), followed by engaging panel discussions with industry leaders Brandon T. Bande, Simon Muzariri, Chipo Mapondera, and Ruvimbo Mukonoweshuro. Through hands-on breakout sessions, students gained valuable insights into the tech industry, emphasizing the importance of inclusion and ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital revolution. A heartfelt thank you to our partners—Women Techmakers, St. John’s School, and the Digital Skills for Youth (DS4Y) program—for making this event possible. Together, we are breaking barriers, fostering innovation, and shaping a future where every young woman—regardless of background or ability—has the opportunity to thrive in technology. #IWD2025 #WomenInTech #DigitalSkillsForYouth #InspireInclusion #TechForEveryone #ImpactHubHarare Tadzoka Pswarayi Tatenda Manuel Phillipah Matanhire Mukudzeishe Shyleen Shantel Kasukusa Tinashe Marufu
