Temperature sensors - contactless measurement (infrared) Infrared thermometers from IPF are particularly suitable for reliable, contactless temperature measurement of materials and objects with very high heat radiation. One of the most common tasks of infrared sensors is to determine the surface temperature of hard-to-reach or moving objects, especially if they have a high level of heat radiation.IR thermometers from IPF are two-part systems consisting essentially of an infrared measuring head and an evaluation unit. The OI98C558 is used as a system solution that can be parameterized via free software. The evaluation unit is equipped via a switching output and a freely selectable analog output (0...10V/0...20mA/0...5V/4...20mA) and can be optionally expanded with numerous interfaces. The robust infrared measuring head is one of the smallest in the world and is designed for ambient temperatures up to +180°C without cooling. The system from ipf with a particularly wide measuring range of -40°C to +900°C determines the infrared radiation emitted by the furnace shell in a contactless and therefore completely wear-free manner and calculates its surface temperature on this basis. #Infraredtempsensor #robust #contactless MSV Instrumentation And Supplies (Pty) LtdTommy ReddyMelisha ReddyFreddie KoopmanShivana ReddyClinton SwartJeraad Naidoo

🔊 The pulse current method is a widely used technique in partial discharge (PD) detection. Its principle is based on the fact that when PD occurs, it causes charge movement between electrodes. Each instance of PD involves a certain amount of charge passing through the dielectric, which leads to a change in voltage on the external electrodes of the sample. According to Maxwell's electromagnetic theory, since the duration of the PD process is very short (a single discharge in a gas gap lasts on the order of 10 ns, while in an oil gap it is approximately 1 μs), such short pulses generate high-frequency electromagnetic signals that radiate outward. ✔️ Recommended Professional Partial Discharge Tester – AN8A10-PD Series The AN8A10-PD series offers high performance and reliability, providing an exclusive UHF measurement solution. It supports high-detection-rate turn-to-turn PD (DC-PD) and high-detection-rate withstand voltage PD (AC-PD). Additionally, it features integrated channel switching, allowing for the automatic completion of all tests with a single connection. The tester can measure electrical performance, PDIV, RPDIV, PDEV, RPDEV, and corresponding voltage-discharge phase diagrams. 👍 If you are interested in the AN8A10-PD series of partial discharge testers, you can contact us. #MotorTesting #ainuo #PartialDischargeTesting #EnergyMotor #DriveMotor #NewEnergy #PartialDischargeTester

Thermal runaway: a chain of exothermic reactions that can lead to catastrophic battery degradation and even ignition. Researchers are able to measure the onset temperature of reactions, as well as peak reaction temperature and energy released, by scanning materials across a range of temperatures using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Learn how DSC supports battery safety evaluation in this application note: https://lnkd.in/gYS2QmdV #Batteries #LithiumIonBatteries

[Torex Newsletter] Publication of Q&A session contents:Voltage Detector webinar Q3. Please explain the internal operation in detail, including hysteresis. A3. First, please look at R1, R2 and R3 in the block diagram. The comparator that detects the voltage compares the voltage at the dividing point of R1 and R2 with the Vref voltage. When the N-channel FET for switching the hysteresis, which is to the right of R3, is OFF, the dividing ratio is (R1+R2+R3)/(R2+R3). In contrast, when the N-channel FET is ON, the dividing ratio is (R1+R2)/R2, which is larger than when the N-channel FET is OFF. The detection voltage (VDF) and release voltage (VDR) of the voltage detector are VDF < VDR, so the two split ratios are each handled by switching the Nch FET. VDF = (R1+R2+R3)/(R2+R3) x Vref VDR = (R1+R2)/R2 x Vref If the VIN is detected as low (RESETB = L), the IC is in a state where the Nch FET is ON and the release voltage (VDF) is being monitored. Next, when VIN rises to the release voltage (VDF), the comparator makes a judgement and RESETB becomes ‘H’, and the hysteresis switching Nch FET changes from ON to OFF, and it enters a state where it monitors the detection voltage (VDR). In this way, the hysteresis switching Nch FET is switched ON and OFF, and VDF and VDR are switched. #Voltage Detector #Voltage supervisor #Power management IC #Webinar

Our CS22 transmitter monitors refrigerants such as R-717 and R-1234yf using a chemisorption sensor. Depending on your requirements and the measured gas, you can choose between different measuring ranges (e.g. 0–300 ppm or 0–1 vol % NH₃). The sensors mean you benefit from low operating costs and long lifetimes. The measured value can be transferred to a central controller either via analog or digital signal. Electromagnetic flowmeters (EMF for short) are new flow measurement instruments that developed rapidly in the 1950s and 1960s with the development of electronic technology. Electromagnetic flowmeters are instruments that use the principle of electromagnetic induction to measure the flow of conductive fluids based on the electromotive force induced when the conductive fluid passes through an external magnetic field. #Electromagnetic flowmeters
