We had the pleasure of hosting the 19th UAE Lifeguard Championship at Aquaventure World, the largest waterpark in the world, with a record-breaking 27 teams participating.   From 18-year-old rising stars to 50-year-old veterans, it was a day for lifeguards from across the region to compete in various challenges that test their physical fitness, rescue skills, and ability to work as a team-or as individuals. The UAE Lifeguard Championship not only showcases their abilities but also provides an opportunity for lifeguards to learn from one another and improve their skills.   It is with great pleasure that we announce our waterpark team has received the following prizes across male and female categories:   1km beach run - 1st place 400m surf swim - 4th place Run swim run - 3rd place Tube rescue - 6th place Ocean life saver - 3rd place 90m beach relay - 4th place Beach flags - 2nd place 1km beach run - 2nd place 90m beach relay - 3rd place King of the beach - Buddhika Lakshan 2nd place   #AtlantisExtraordinary #AquaventureWorld

In collaboration with the Fujairah Research Centre and supported by the Atlantis Atlas Project Contribution Programme, we are taking actionable steps to protect marine ecosystems. Our recent visit to newly established artificial reef structures and coral nurseries highlights our dedication to enhancing local ocean biodiversity. We are proud to announce that both Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal have been awarded the Gold Dubai Sustainable Tourism (DST) Stamp, recognizing our commitment to sustainability through the Atlantis Atlas Project. The DST Stamp is awarded to hotels that exceed compliance to the 19 Sustainability Requirements set by the Department of Economy and Tourism, providing a clear roadmap to a more sustainable future for Dubai’s hospitality industry. This achievement was celebrated at the DST Stamp Awards, hosted at Atlantis The Royal, where 153 hotels were recognized across three tiers of Gold, Silver, and Bronze. In line with the UAE’s goal to reduce food loss and waste by 50% by 2030 through the ne'ma initiative, Atlantis partnered with ReLoop App to ensure this event was a zero food waste event, reinforcing our commitment to responsible hospitality.
