🚨 Update for iOS is Live! If you still experience some bugs, feel free to contact us to report it. For Android, we tried to make the app compatible with most of the brands and versions of the operating system. If you are experiencing some bugs, contact us with the details (phone brand, Android OS version)

📍 To clarify why Android version is asking for Location services to be enabled : it’s needed to scan, connect and share with users around and beyond. ❌ The app is fully offline (not connected to Internet at all) so we don’t collect the data and the Location services are used locally on your device. ℹ️ You can find more information about this on Google Android Developer website : https://lnkd.in/ds6eSv6U

[PLEASE SHARE THIS POST] Bloom for Gaza & Palestine. This statement is not a political take. I am for peace all around the world, against all conflict that brings war and death to innocent people. Taking civilian lives will never help to achieve a sustainable peace. 🇺🇳 Despite United Nations categorized access to telecommunications as a fundamental human right, Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip lost proper access to cellular/internet services 9 times while their homeland is destroyed and civilians targeted. 📶 As the founder of Bloom - بلوم, the hyperlocal offline network, it appears as an evidence to share the app I created for nearby social interactions, to Palestinians in need of telecommunications access. Bloom works without cellular/internet connection. Only Bluetooth is required to create a mesh network, where each user act as a relay, permitting a large-scale coverage in densely populated areas like the Gaza Strip, where 6000 people per km2 are living. We came back to our previous development iteration to make the app simpler, with no registration and no personal data collection. Palestinians can download the app directly on App Store or install it from trustworthy offline sources. Humanitarian organizations and individuals who want to become a verified offline source can contact me. The app is, for sure, available all around the world, for everyone who needs telecommunications services after natural disasters and telecom outages. 🌍 At the same time, we bring a major update for Bloom : the Synergy. iOS & Android devices are now able to communicate together on the Bloom Mesh Network. 🔄 Background mode is now available with real-time notifications about surrounding Public Rooms and Private Direct Messages. 🖇️ We added Voice Notes and Contact to the range of content that can be instantly shared. Images, Videos and Files can also be shared BUT large size content can take times to reach users, we are working on it. We recommend to share only text, voice notes, contact, and low size images (500Ko max) for now. ⚡️ Energy is a huge concern for Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip. Bloom now uses only the Low Energy version of Bluetooth to prevent excessive battery consumption. I kindly ask all readers to SHARE THIS POST, make sure civilians got it, to help them, at least, communicate with each others inside the Gaza Strip, to survive, organize, thrive.
