Taking a proper break this weekend?

Breaks aren’t just a luxury - they’re essential. Without them, your mind & work will suffer. On World Mental Health Day, it’s time to focus on the importance of self-care and mental well-being at work. Poor mental health leads to decreased performance, absenteeism, and higher staff turnover. Depression and anxiety alone result in the loss of 12 billion workdays each year. This costs the global economy an estimated US$1 trillion annually. Here are 10 easy self-care habits you can start doing at work today: 1/ Prioritise real meals, not desk snacks. ↳ A balanced meal away from your desk can refuel your energy. 2/ Step outside for some sunshine. ↳ Just 10 minutes outdoors can lift your mood and improve focus. 3/ Protect your lunch break. ↳ Use this time to reset and recharge. 4/ Set boundaries with your work hours. ↳ Clear start and end times help you rest and recover. 5/ Hydrate throughout the day. ↳ Keep water nearby to stay refreshed and alert. 6/ Make time to breathe. ↳ Deep breathing reduces stress and revitalises your mind. 7/ Take short stretch breaks. ↳ Stretching reduces tension and helps re-energise. 8/ Practise mindful eating. ↳ Chew slowly, savour every bite, and stay away from distractions. 9/ Plan tomorrow today. ↳ Use the end of your workday to create a to-do list for a clearer start. 10/ Embrace gratitude. ↳ Take a few minutes each day to reflect on what you’re grateful for. These small habits can make a big difference in prioritising your mental health. 👇 Let me know in the comments which habits you'll start adding to your routine this week. ♻️ Share with your network to help them adopt healthier self-care habits at work. 🔔 Follow me, Jen Blandos, for daily tips and business insights.

Do you need to deal with Imposter Syndrome …. today?

عرض ملف Jen Blandos الشخصي، رسم بياني

Multi 7-Figure Founder | Scale-Up Strategist | Global Business Advisor | Follow For Daily Business & Growth Tips

Imposter syndrome isn't just holding you back. It's standing in the way of your success. Imposter syndrome is more than self-doubt. It makes you feel like a fraud, even when you’re not. -> Did you know 82% of professionals have felt it during their career? -> 75% of executives say it affects their work. -> 84% of entrepreneurs struggle with it. -> 60% of women and 48% of men avoid promotions because of it. Imposter syndrome can stop you from seizing opportunities and trusting your skills. But you don’t have to let imposter syndrome win. Here’s how you can overcome it: 1/ Track when you feel like an imposter ↳ Keep a daily journal to record those moments. 2/ Challenge your negative thoughts ↳ Ask yourself: What would a trusted friend say in this moment? 3/ Celebrate your wins ↳ Save praise emails, awards, and achievements in a “Wins Folder.” 4/ Turn failure into growth ↳ After setbacks, ask: What went well? What’s my next step? 5/ Find a mentor ↳ Reach out to one potential mentor monthly for a 30-minute chat. 6/ Be kind to yourself ↳ Speak to yourself the way you’d talk to a close friend. 7/ Focus on the value you bring ↳ Every week, list three ways you’ve added value to your work. 8/ Build a strong support network ↳ Engage with a professional group twice a month. 9/ Use positive affirmations ↳ Create three affirmations and repeat them every day. 10/ Celebrate small wins ↳ Write down three accomplishments, no matter how small, each week. Overcoming imposter syndrome is a journey, not a destination. 👇 Share in the comments what strategy you'll use to overcome imposter syndrome. ♻️ Repost this to help your network unlock their full potential. 🔔 Follow me, Jen Blandos, for daily business insights.

What do you think about saying yes to wellness all year round?

عرض ملف Jen Blandos الشخصي، رسم بياني

Multi 7-Figure Founder | Scale-Up Strategist | Global Business Advisor | Follow For Daily Business & Growth Tips

Pink ribbons don't save lives. A culture of wellness does. October shouldn’t be the only time we talk about breast cancer. Health at work should be a year-round conversation. I have mixed feelings about Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I’m 12 years clear of breast cancer this month. (the photo in this post is me at my final radiotherapy session!) It was one of the hardest times of my life, but my team carried me through it. They took on my workload, so I could focus entirely on getting better. I learned something incredibly powerful: When we trust our team to step up, they always will. I often say no to speaking opportunities in October. I don’t want to be part of just another pink-themed PR stunt. True wellness goes deeper than that. We need to create a workplace that prioritises health all year long. Why? Because healthy employees perform better. They’re also more likely to prevent serious illnesses, including cancer. A wellness-focused workplace: ↳ Normalises health conversations. ↳ Supports preventative care. ↳ Offers flexible policies for medical needs. ↳ Encourages work-life balance. Breast cancer awareness is just one piece of the puzzle. The real question isn’t whether you’re wearing pink this October, but whether your workplace truly supports employee health every day of the year. What can you do? ↳ Encourage open conversations around wellness. ↳ Advocate for flexible schedules and medical needs. ↳ Promote work-life balance and mental health. ⬇️ Give me examples of how your workplace supports health beyond October. ♻️ Share this post to spread the message of workplace wellness this month. 🔔 Follow me, Jen Blandos, for daily insights on business and leadership.

Negotiating as an Introvert, how to do it in style! ♻️ Repost if this is helpful to your community. Follow Jen Blandos, Female Fusion Network for more helpful tips

Introverts win negotiations through silence and patience. Their quiet strength is unmatched. As an extrovert, I've learned one crucial lesson: quiet negotiators can be the most formidable. When I face an introvert using these strategies in negotiation, it becomes a whole new ball game. Here’s why introverts are incredible negotiators: 1/ Reflection as a Superpower ↳ Their quiet observation often blindsides extroverts, revealing key insights. 2/ Active Listening Mastery ↳ They often uncover information people didn’t realise they were sharing. 3/ Strategic Rapport Building ↳ When they push past discomfort with small talk, they create connections: an extrovert’s kryptonite. 4/ Data-Driven Arguments ↳ Their well-researched positions are hard to refute with charisma alone. 5/ Mastering Silence ↳ Their strategic pauses make extroverts overshare in discomfort. 6/ Deep Reflection ↳ Their analysis reveals solutions others often miss. Whether it’s a business deal or salary negotiation, these introvert strengths are truly powerful. If you’re an introvert, your quietness isn’t a weakness. It’s your negotiation superpower. 👇 Have you ever been outmanoeuvred by a quiet negotiator? Share your experience in the comments! ♻️ Repost this to help your introvert colleagues step into their negotiation superpower. 🔔 Follow me, Jen Blandos, for daily business insights.

Empowered Women, Empowering the World! I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Female Fusion Network a global network connecting like-minded women, and let me tell you it was nothing short of inspiring. Being surrounded by strong, driven women from different industries, all with a shared mission: to support, uplift, and connect, reminded me of the true power of collaboration. In a world where we’re often told to compete, this event was a refreshing reminder that when women come together, magic happens. We are not just building businesses, we’re creating legacies and fostering change. Here are my top takeaways: 1. Collaboration > Competition: There is enough space for all of us to shine. 2. Support Systems Matter: Surround yourself with those who believe in your vision as much as you do. 3. Innovation Thrives in Diversity: The best ideas often come from the most diverse minds. Feeling grateful and energized by the stories, challenges, and victories we shared. Let’s connect and continue the conversation about how you are empowering the women in your network. #FemaleFusion #WomenInBusiness #GlobalNetwork #Empowerment #WomenSupportingWomen #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #equationsPR #EquationsEcho #ceo #PriyankaBhatt

Forget What You’ve Heard: Gen Z Might Be The Best Hire You'll Make Think Gen Z is "lazy"? Let me tell you - they could be the secret weapon your business needs. Recent headlines paint Gen Z as "difficult" or "entitled," but my experience has been the opposite. I’ve found they bring incredible value to the workplace, especially for small businesses. Here’s why Gen Z is such an asset: ↳ Tech-Savvy Innovators: They’ve grown up with the latest technology, and they adapt to new tools faster than any other generation. ↳ Fresh Perspectives & Creativity: Unlike the “just accept things as they are” mentality Gen X was raised with, Gen Z isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo. And let’s be honest, wasn’t that way of thinking pretty miserable? Why should that be the cost of entry into professional work? Their fresh ideas lead to innovative solutions for the problems we’ve been stuck on for years. ↳ Passionate About Purpose: Gen Z doesn’t just show up for a paycheque - they care about meaningful work, and that passion drives results. ↳ Adaptable & Resilient: Growing up in a rapidly changing world, they can handle ambiguity and thrive in it. ↳ Emotionally Intelligent & Assertive: Our Gen Z employee is incredibly hard-working, learns fast, and isn’t afraid to express her opinions or set boundaries. In fact, her emotional intelligence and communication skills have been a breath of fresh air- she contributes to the team in meaningful, direct ways and keeps us all on track. Yes, they’re different from previous generations, but that’s their strength. Gen Z knows how to assert boundaries and isn’t afraid to question outdated norms. This isn’t a flaw - it’s a strength. It’s what we need to push our businesses forward. But for Gen Z to do well, we as employers need to step up: ↳ Clearly define roles and responsibilities from day one ↳ Offer meaningful growth opportunities ↳ Address issues promptly and fairly ↳ Invest in their development When we do, the potential is limitless. Gen Z's energy, creativity, and passion for purpose can push our businesses in ways we’ve never seen. The future of business demands new thinking. That means creating a different type of team. Are you ready to make the changes to help a diverse team succeed? Thanks to Ford Coleman for this carousel - a great Gen Z entrepreneur who is helping the younger generation find meaningful work opportunities - give him a follow. 👇 What’s been your experience with Gen Z employees: Has this generation changed your business for the better? ♻️ Share this to remind others that we should be embracing workplace diversity. 🔔 Follow me, Jen Blandos, for daily business insights.
