Mastering Emergency Preparedness at Grandweld Shipyards In a vital demonstration of Grandweld Shipyards' commitment to safety, our team recently conducted a high-stakes emergency evacuation drill on the AM PASSION, simulating a fire incident from an adjacent vessel at Dubai Maritime City. This exercise, involving 76 dedicated professionals and coordinated with Dubai Civil Defence, highlighted the strength of our response systems, quick action protocols, and cohesive teamwork. From first alarm to final headcount, each step reaffirmed our focus on operational safety. On October 24, 2024, Grandweld Shipyards had the privilege of hosting the Keel Laying Ceremony for the FA-400 Offshore Patrol Vessel in collaboration with ADSB. This event, held at our facility, marked the official start of the vessel’s build process. We were honored by the presence of esteemed guests from ADSB, EDGE, and Grandweld, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who joined us for this special occasion. The 45-meter FA-400 vessel, featuring excellent seakeeping capabilities and a top speed of 26 knots, is designed to support a range of offshore missions, including military operations, search and rescue, area surveillance, and coastal patrol. We’re excited to deliver this project by the end of next year. This project represents our first shipbuilding collaboration with ADSB, although we have partnered on other projects in the past. We look forward to deepening our relationship with ADSB in the years ahead. Stay tuned for more updates! Here is yet another project off the chart: Successfully Delivered - Voyage Explorer We are proud to have successfully completed a 21-day ship repair project for our esteemed client, Miclyn Express Offshore (MEO) - Singapore, on the vessel Voyage Explorer. Our skilled and dedicated team executed vital maintenance, including hull cleaning and painting, overhauling key systems, and repairing the CPP blades, ensuring the vessel is ready for its next voyage. Grandweld achieves praise from SLB management team for excellent project management of a major conversion project: Our shipyard was recently awarded the project to convert an Offshore Supply Vessel into a Well Stimulation Vessel. This includes fabrication of 5m diameter Acid Tanks to ABS class, 3D designs, fabrication and installation of piping systems, addition of deckhouses, interior and electrical works. Grandweld is the only company in DMC to fabricate pressure vessels such as these Acid Tanks of this size and standard. On September 30th, we had the honour of welcoming SLB RP Vice President for Asia, and her team for a visit to the vessel at Grandweld Shipyards. #SLB management were impressed with the progress made, our quality and the high level of safety culture at Grandweld. Allianz Commander - A Passion Project Delivered with Precision   We're proud to present the epic transformation of Vessel Allianz Commander—a project that redefined marine refurbishment. What started as a vision in December, 2023 has sailed into reality, with our team completing the massive refurbishment in just 6 months—ahead of the planned 9 months! From groundbreaking structural lifts to the region’s first-ever Temporary Refugee Room for 500 people, this project showcases our innovation, teamwork, and commitment to delivering excellence on time.
