صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة يفتتح المعهد الثقافي العربي في جامعة القلب المقدس الكاثوليكية بمدينة ميلانو الإيطالية وذلك يشكل تحولًا في تعزيز العلاقات الثقافية بين البلدين حيث يعتبر المعهد مقدمة لإنشاء سلسلة معاهد للثقافة العربية في عواصم المعرفة والإبداع بهدف مد جسور التواصل والحوار وتعزيز العلاقات الثقافية بين الحضارة العربية والغربية وإظهار حجم مساهمة العرب في النتاج العلمي والإبداعي الإنساني. كما سيعمل المعهد على توسيع مهرجان اللغة العربية، الذي ترعاه هيئة الشارقة للكتاب في ميلانو ليشمل أنشطة أكثر تنوعًا مثل قراءات الشعر وورش العمل اللغوية والمناقشات الجماعية ويخصص جانبًا من أنشطته لتنظيم معارض كتب سنوية وفعاليات أدبية وورش عمل وندوات تفاعلية بين الثقافة العربية والأوروبية. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah, officially inaugurated the Arabic Cultural Institute at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy. This marks a significant step in strengthening cultural relations between the two countries, as the institute is the precursor to a series of Arab cultural institutes to be established in key cities of knowledge and creativity. The institute is considered a prelude to establishing a series of institutes for Arab culture in the capitals of knowledge and creativity, with the aim of building bridges of communication and dialogue, strengthening cultural relations between Arab and Western civilisations, and demonstrating the extent of Arab contributions to scientific and creative human production. The institute will also expand the Arabic Language Festival, sponsored by the Sharjah Book Authority in Milan, to include more diverse activities such as poetry readings, language workshops and group discussions, and will devote part of its activities to organising annual book fairs, literary events, workshops and interactive seminars between Arab and European culture. #الشارقة‬ ‫#الإمارات‬ #هيئة_الشارقة_للكتاب #Shj‬ ‪#UAE‬ ‪#SBA‬ ‪#Reading‬ ‪#Book

Categories include the Sharjah Award for an #Emirati Book, Best #Arabic Novel, Best #International Book, and #Publisher Recognition Award, and they reflect SIBF’s role in achieving the national vision of celebrating #literary excellence. I’m particularly proud of the awards’ emphasis on local talent through the Sharjah Award for an Emirati Book, which celebrates first-time #authors, creative #literature, and #academic contributions. هيئة الشارقة للكتاب تشارك في المعرض السنوي لجمعية المكتبات الأمريكية لتصبح الممثل الوحيد للثقافة العربية في المؤتمر. يعتبر معرض جمعية المكتبات الأمريكية هو الحدث الأكبر عالميًا حيث يجمع آلاف المكتبيين والمعلمين والناشرين، وسمحت تلك المشاركة بتبادل الخبرات بين الكيانات الثقافية والمؤسسات المتخصصة في العالم، بالإضافة إلى توسيع التعاون مع الشارقة ودولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. This year, Sharjah Book Authority was the sole representative of Arab culture at American Library Association's annual conference. The conference is the biggest event of its kind worldwide, bringing together thousands of librarians, teachers, publishers.
