🌟 Exciting Weekend at Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 🌟 Sharjah Business Women Council was proud to participate in this year's Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival. Our presence at SEF provided a valuable opportunity to contribute to the dynamic landscape of entrepreneurship and innovation, highlighting SBWC’s dedication to empowering women in business and fostering community growth. Our esteemed Director, Maryam Bin Al Shaikh, shared invaluable insights during a panel discussion focused on global expansion strategies and the transformative potential of international business ventures. At our booth, the SBWC membership team actively engaged with festival attendees, offering firsthand introductions to the array of services and resources SBWC provides to empower and support women in business. Moreover, SBWC hosted a dynamic workshop centered on the principles of design-led product development, equipping entrepreneurs with essential tools for building impactful and user-centric products. In alignment with our commitment to fostering entrepreneurial growth, SBWC sponsored the participation of four F&B businesses and three startups, providing them with a platform to showcase their innovative ventures. Additionally, as the Empower Partner at SEF, SBWC proudly led the Impact Track of the pitching competition, amplifying the voices of emerging startups. Highlights from Sharjah Business Women Council’s (SBWC) participation at Expand North Star the world's largest startup event in the world, which took place in Dubai from October 15 to 18. 🌟 At our dedicated booth, eight incredible startups showcased their innovations in fields such as construction, logistics, education, and more. We also facilitated key meetings for potential partnerships that fueled their growth. These startups were contenders in the "Supernova Challenge" with a $200,000 prize pool, where SBWC offered $10,000 for the "Best Female-Led Startup." Maryam Bin Alshaikh, SBWC’s Director, underscored our commitment to women's sustainable development and their crucial role in the #tech sector. SBWC proudly supported this event for the sixth year, empowering women in tech and business. We are dedicated to fostering growth and expansion while highlighting opportunities in Sharjah for women-led businesses. We also hosted a fascinating panel discussion titled "Empowering Women in AI to Lead the Charge for a Sustainable Future," exploring AI's pivotal role in the UAE's future, strategies, and its impact on women entrepreneurs. The panel, which was held in partnership with Women in AI UAE , featured inspiring speakers from the AI sector Dr.Hoda A.Alkhzaimi, Angela Kim and Yasmin Al Enazi - who shared their insights on innovative solutions and bridging gender-specific funding gaps. We also discussed the importance of training and leadership in the tech sector. Expand North Star brought together companies from 100+ countries and over 1,000 venture capital firms, providing valuable insights into the #startup and #AI scene.
