TwentyOne06 was never part of some master plan. It kind of happened by accident, one of those happy ones. I never set out to run a company. Never thought I’d be a “business owner.” I’ve always just seen myself as a creative, and honestly, for a long time, those two things felt like they clashed. It took me a while to say, “Yeah, I run a design agency,” and actually feel okay with that. In the beginning, I didn’t really know how to build an agency or what I wanted it to become. I did believe in my skills as a designer. But I did know what I didn’t want it to be. That was enough to start. So I did, slowly, organically, figuring things out as I went. The name TwentyOne06 comes from the apartment number where it all started. No team, no grand vision. Just me, my laptop, and a whole lot of figuring it out as I went along. Now, six years later, everything’s evolved. I’ve had to grow, not just into a business owner, but into a dad, a better husband, someone others can rely on. Helping the people around me. And I’m still learning, every day, how to show up better, be better, and lead better. Every yearly goal is broken down into quarters, then into months , then into weeks, helps me really keep me sane and organised (and organised isnt always my strong point). But the heart of it hasn’t changed: → Do the work I believe in → Work with people who want to work with us → Trust in what we’re building Still feels like the beginning in a lot of ways. In partnership with fit-out giants, Havelock One Interiors, TwentyOne06 blends hospitality interior design with high-functionality at The Knowledge Academy’s new 300sqm training centre in Dubai. "We approached this space as more than just a training center, it’s a workspace that invites connection, learning, and a sense of belonging.”   - Govind Shepley, Creative Director and Founder, TwentyOne06. This space was designed to extend the luxurious resimercial language first introduced at the brand’s headquarters, but with a new challenge: delivering the same premium feel within a tighter footprint. 👉 The objective was clear: Create a high-performance training space without compromising on warmth, aesthetic cohesion, or user experience. Designed for professionals in training, we infused the space with natural moss walls, ChelseaGREEN's sleek commercial furniture, marble-effect tiles by BAGNODESIGN, and strategically placed diffused lighting by Lylux, injecting a sense of calm and sophistication far beyond what’s expected in a typical educational space. Where hospitality meets functionality, again. Following the successful design of The Knowledge Academy’s main office, our team at TwentyOne06, in partnership with fit-out giants Havelock One Interiors was brought back to reimagine their newest training center, a 300 sqm space located in I-Rise Tower, Barsha Heights, Dubai. This resimercial workspace design was about continuing a design language that feels warm, elevated, and deeply considered. Designed as a counterpart to their primary workspace, this new environment was designed with a hospitality-first mindset, tailored for focus, productivity, and experience. From the moment you enter, the space sets the tone, with a layered welcome area, full-height natural moss walls lining the corridors, and expansive views softened by diffused lighting. Inside, large-format training rooms equipped with large screens, a breakout zone, and a fluid open workspace create a dynamic yet comfortable learning environment. Materiality played a key role: brushed brass accents, oak wood flooring, marble-effect tiles from Bagno Design, and blush-toned acoustic panels inspired by the brand’s identity, all brought together to strike a careful balance between residential warmth and commercial functionality. Observing. Refining. Elevating. We did that with the restaurant design renovation for Observatory Lounge and Prime52. Marriott Hotels 💡How TwentyOne06 - Interior Design & Branding solved this restaurant renovation challenge:  The Observatory Lounge was an opportunity to redefine an F&B icon. With 15 years of history, the space carried memories but lacked clarity and purpose. Our goal was to sharpen its identity, create a stronger guest journey, and design an experience that lingers long after the last drink is poured. The foundation of our redesign was 'Observation' - Understanding what is not working, 'Precision' - what are the new Goals for the brand, and 'storytelling' - how we bring it all together and create one everything strong concept. This restaurant renovation now features: We created visual anchors throughout the interior space, whether it's the panoramic skyline framed by seating arrangements or the gravitational pull of the celestial-inspired bar. By day, natural light floods through floor-to-ceiling windows, highlighting organic textures and neutral tones. By night, curated ambient lighting shifts the mood, amplifying drama and depth. A dedicated wine bar that creates a new offering for the bar, allowing for wine and meat events allowing the space to be maximised on the quite day time hours and targeting the local cruise ship guests, which is a audience that wasnt around before. Meanwhile, a new private dining room, Prime52, redefines exclusivity with warm, refined materials and an intimate atmosphere. At TwentyOne06, my aim is to design spaces that engage, inspire, and evolve with their audience.
