As the lead engineering consultancy, we provided engineering design services and site design guardianship, including building services, structural, utilities, façade, audiovisual / ICT solutions and more. Our Advisory Services team contributed significantly to the efforts towards achieving LEED Platinum certification under the BD+C Hospitality rating, as part of our framework appointment with RSG. By collaborating closely with RSG throughout the certification process - including design, construction, detailed reviews, modelling, and site audits - we ensured a project that harmonises engineering excellence with sustainability. Arpan shared insights on the growing demand for energy-efficient, sustainable buildings in the region, driven by environmental awareness and extreme climatic conditions. He highlighted the role of passive design strategies, advancements in HVAC systems, and the use of low-VOC materials in creating healthier, more sustainable spaces. Additionally, Arpan emphasised the importance of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) in minimising environmental impact throughout a building’s lifecycle.
