During the hospitality boom for the FIFA World Cup 2022, Waldorf Astoria Lusail Doha looked for a unique feature to attract guests. They found the perfect solution with Wadi Lusail Waterpark, a space designed especially for families. This water park keeps guests entertained with an AquaPlay structure, an AquaCourse with rope bridges and climbing paths, a FlowRider surf simulator, and an Adventure Trail for exploration. Chris Perry, of Qiddiya | القدية Investment Company, has been named 2nd Vice Chair for 2025 and will chair the IAAPA Global Board in 2027. His appointment reflects the Middle East’s growing influence in the global entertainment industry. During their meeting in Amsterdam this week, the IAAPA board of directors elected six new members for 2025. The selection process involved reviewing 35 applications for the open positions, with a focus on industry experience, professional expertise, IAAPA volunteer work, and the skills needed to advance the association’s strategic goals.
