UNDP Afghanistan’s upcoming Socioeconomic Outlook Report will assess challenges & opportunities in #Afghanistan and promote inclusive, #privatesector-driven recovery essential for sustainable progress. Recent consultations in #Herat province engaged local businesses, employers, women entrepreneurs, academics, and chambers of commerce.

Over 1,500 lives were tragically lost in #Afghanistan's 2023 earthquakes. UNDP Afghanistan is nearing completion of 171 EQ-resilient homes rebuilt for vulnerable families combining anti-seismic features with local designs. This includes 2 demo units in Chahak village, #HeratProvince, developed in collaboration with UNICEF Afghanistan as child-friendly spaces. Grateful to our #PartnersAtCore for making this possible!
