ANDRITZ acquires analyzer and measurement company PulpEye The acquisition complements ANDRITZ capabilities by adding the core pulp quality analyzers into the group’s automation and digitalization portfolio. PulpEye is a technology company, focusing on modular online analyzer applications and services for the global pulp and paper. The Swedish company provides pulp, paper and board producers with a wide range of proven online pulp analyzers and advanced measurements ranging from chip quality, kappa to fiber properties and more throughout the process. ANDRITZ will supply a PrimeDry YES (Yankee Eco Steam System) to Essity for its mill in Stubbins, England. The PrimeDry YES will reduce energy costs, CO2 emissions, and gas consumption by generating high-pressure steam from exhaust air. This is the 39th order for the PrimeDry YES, further reinforcing ANDRITZ Novimpianti's expertise in sustainable drying technology. Start-up is scheduled for Q4 2024. We are excited to announce that ANDRITZ has successfully completed the installation and start-up of the PrimeDry Yankee Hood HT and air system on the PM1 tissue machine at Northwood Tissue, Chesterfield mill, England! The new, gas-heated, high-temperature hood features an impingement temperature of up to 530 °C that will increase the drying capacity and heat transfer rate, with remarkable energy optimization and cost-efficient tissue production. The first paper reel was on the pope on July 26, successfully meeting the scheduled machine shutdown for dismantling the old equipment, installing and commissioning the new drying section. The machine has been operating continuously ever since. Thus, further demonstrating the competence of ANDRITZ Novimpianti field service professionals and their synergistic collaboration with the customer’s team. Congratulations to all personnel involved!
