AT&S wins ESG Award from Austria´s Leading Companies (ACL)🌱🏆 We are thrilled to announce that we have been honored with the ESG Award, presented by the Govenor of Styria Christopher Drexler and issued by Die Presse, KSV1870 and PwC Österreich. This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability, innovation, and excellence in environmental, social, and governance practices. The ESG analysis was conducted by PwC and evaluated 140 of Austria’s largest companies on the quality of their ESG objectives and measurable performance improvements. The award was accepted by CTO Peter Griehsnig and VP Corp ESG & Quality Marina Hornasek-Metzl. "Technology in the microelectronics sector is developing rapidly and AT&S plays an important role," says Peter Griehsnig. "We focus on the right markets, have excellent employees and work with our customers on pioneering technologies such as embedding, miniaturization and novel materials. This enables us to deliver the right solutions, from efficiently manufactured substrates for AI processors to energy-saving solutions for servers and data centers as well as electrically powered vehicles." Marina Hornasek-Metzl emphasizes: "As far as sustainability and decarbonization are concerned, we are right on track to achieve our targets: 73.9% of the energy we consumed in the past financial year came from renewable sources - including large hydropower plants. AT&S is launching a CEO search After Andreas Gerstenmayer resigned from his position as CEO of AT&S for personal reasons, Dr. Peter Schneider – previously Deputy CEO – has taken on the role of “Spokesman of the Management Board” with effect from October 1, 2024, on an interim basis. In the coming months, an internal or external candidate is to be found to succeed Andreas Gerstenmayer. Until then, the CEO’s responsibilities will be taken over by the members of the Management Board (CFO Petra Preining, CTO Peter Griehsnig, EVP Business Unit Electronics Solutions Peter Schneider and EVP Business Unit Microelectronics Ingolf Schroeder). Leading role in technological innovation 🚀 AT&S has achieved an impressive 2nd place in the latest ranking of Austria’s most innovative companies. The study conducted by the IMWF (Institute for Management and Economic Research), analyzes around 176.000 online mentions of the 498 largest industrial companies in Austria, evaluating them based on innovation, sustainability, profitability and online reputation. AT&S enters a new technological era 🚀💻 As part of the EU-funded IPCEI on Microelectronics and Communication Technologies project, AT&S is developing innovative IC substrates for the next generation of high-performance microchips. These substrates, with conductor tracks smaller than 5 micrometers, will enable faster and more efficient communication between processors and other components in computers and servers. AT&S spent five years acquiring the necessary expertise and will soon be able to start test runs. And due to the constant push for miniaturization, our team never stops researching and finding better solutions to make our products more powerful, energy-efficient, and effective. 🌍🔬 IPCEI ME/CT (Important Projects of Common European Interest) supports research and development initiatives that are crucial for Europe’s economic and technological future, and we are very proud to contribute.
