Second Data Sense Conference! We brought together 350 data experts, scientists and analysts in the Grand Hall for a day filled with insights and inspiration. The event kicked off with a keynote by our Group COO, Maurizio Poletto, setting the tone for the day. We were excited to hear from our guest speakers: Abed Ajraou from Gartner, Antoine Amend from Databricks, and Thomas Dohmke from GitHub, who all shared their valuable perspectives on the evolving data landscape.   💡 The conference featured not only engaging plenary sessions but also 28 breakout sessions that highlighted best practices and case studies from our partners and across the Erste universe.   Shout-out to our hosts, Oana Sasu, Thomas Werth, and our moderator Sabine Müllauer-Ohev Ami, for guiding us through the event. This year's fall Erste Digital Assembly brought together inspiring leaders and forward-thinking ideas to drive the future of technology and innovation.   The day kicked off with insights from Christoph Helm, Managing Director of Erste Digital. He also introduced new leaders Madeleine Hödl, Head of Sparkassen Advisory, and Mathias Frey, Chief Engineering Technology Officer. A fantastic welcome to set the tone for visionary discussions.   A highlight of the event was the future-focused vision of Erste Group, shared by Maurizio Poletto, COO of Erste Group, and Maximilian Clary, Chief Retail Officer and COO for Austria. Their insights left us excited about the road ahead! 🚀✨   We also dove deeper into the world of Erste Digital with an engaging talk led by Ekkehard Preis, Katrin Fleck, and Thomas Werth. While the skies may have been cloudy in Vienna, the future of cloud technology was brighter than ever at the Google Cloud Summit Österreich 2024! ☁️ Our Managing Director, Christoph Helm, shared our journey with cloud so far, revealing the motivations behind this crucial decision and shedding light on the drivers of our innovation. Ulrich Buchberger, Product Owner Google Cloud Platform, highlighted that "without motivated and creative engineers, even the best product will struggle to generate value," and emphasized that cloud computing is much more than a technical shift – it’s truly a cultural transformation.
