I am extremely happy to share my first global TED talk at TEDAI Vienna https://lnkd.in/g2EgHaKG We’re thrilled to have been a part of the historic TEDAI Vienna event, where Ouchhh Studio presented the first-ever “Real-time AI EEG Data Cognitive Painting” in the history of TED talks. This unique performance, created using live brain data and advanced AI algorithms, was an unforgettable moment that redefined the intersection of art, science, and technology on the TED stage. Ouchhh collaborated with amazing composer and musician @phoebeviolet.music . TEDAI also marked a milestone as Europe’s very first TED event dedicated to exploring the immense potential of AI. During my talk, I had the incredible opportunity to share the epic 15-year journey of Ouchhh Studio. From our beginnings, driven by a passion for blending art and data, to becoming a pioneering force in AI-driven art, it’s been a path filled with many world-firsts and groundbreaking achievements. We have always strived to push the boundaries of what’s possible, whether it's integrating AI into public spaces, turning data into immersive experiences, or collaborating with some of the world’s leading institutions and brands. Sharing this journey with the audience at TEDAI was a deeply rewarding experience, and we were honored to be in the company of such brilliant minds. Standing alongside distinguished speakers like Raia Hadzel, VP Research at Google DeepMind, and Rama Akkiraju, VP of Enterprise AI & Automation at Nvidia, was a true privilege. Their insights into the future of AI were both inspiring and thought-provoking, and we’re grateful to have shared the stage with them and many other inspiring voices at this one-of-a-kind event. We are so thankful to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey, and to those who joined us at TEDAI to witness this special moment. This performance is just a glimpse of what we believe the future holds when creativity meets AI, Art, science, technology and we can’t wait to see where this path leads next. Here’s to more innovative projects, more world-firsts, and more ways to inspire! hashtag #OuchhhStudio hashtag #TEDAI hashtag #AIArt hashtag #CognitivePainting hashtag #ouchhhstudio hashtag #ArtAndTech hashtag #datapainting

Do you dread presenting before a crowd of people? Here's some advice from Alina Nikolaou, Director and Curator of TEDAI Vienna, on how to strengthen your public speaking skills! Big thanks to Michael Herold for the interview. What's your biggest tip for getting better at public speaking? #TEDAI #TED #TEDAIVIENNA #Publicspeaking
If you want to get better at public speaking, Alina Nikolaou suggests stepping out of your work bubble: ➡️ Try a poetry reading, storytelling night, or debate club. ➡️ Explore spaces where people share ideas, art, or culture—no corporate talk required! These experiences can make you a more natural, confident speaker—whether you’re sharing your art or presenting a work report. Catch the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/dxXsQHJh

"Your grandchildren will be the last generation to read and write." This TED Talk by Victor Riparbelli, Co-founder and CEO of Synthesia, definitely left many of our TEDAI Vienna attendees feeling thunderstruck! Want to experience the wonder of TEDAI Vienna for yourself? Your grandchildren will be the last generation to read and write. From hieroglyphics to handwriting to keyboards and smart phones - throughout history we have always evolved how we express and consume information. In my TED talk I make the case that we’re not yet at the end of history and that text will ultimately be replaced by richer modalities such as video and audio, when they’re as easy to create as text. It was a lot of fun to to work with the TEDAI Vienna team on this (highly provocative) idea and it’s been so much fun to discuss – thanks Alina Nikolaou and the rest of the team for inviting me! It's always such a pleasure to see how our event leaves a mark on our attendees, sparking new ideas and interesting reflections.👏🎉 Thank you, Daniel Phillips FRSA, for sharing your thoughts on this Talk from TEDAI Vienna! AI is truly reshaping how we uncover the past, and the work of Julian Schilliger and Youssef Mohamed Nader on decoding the lost Herculaneum scrolls is a perfect example of its potential. What other historical mysteries could AI help unravel?🕵 #TEDAIVienna #AI #History #TED #TEDAI https://lnkd.in/d7E6JJ3n
Much of history is lost, altered, or forgotten Most of it is rebuilt, reinterpreted, or erased But today, AI is changing how we uncover the past Watching this talk at TEDAI Vienna was unbelievable Maybe the most innovative use of AI I’ve seen Two researchers: Julian Schilliger and Youssef Mohamed Nader Using AI to decode the lost scrolls of Herculaneum Buried under Mount Vesuvius for 2,000 years Here’s how: 📜 𝗖𝗧 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘀 unwrap scrolls without touching them 📜 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 detects ink invisible to the eye 📜 𝗔𝗜 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 reconstruct letters, words, and sentences This means lost knowledge is being read for the first time I’m no expert in the deep tech behind this But my thoughts on AI in history come down to this: History is often shaped by human perspectives Collective memories are maintained by social groups Technology can help reassemble forgotten narratives But what are the effects of reshaping cultural narratives? ⬇️ 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 ⬇️ (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲!)
