Celebrating continuous improvement and raising environmental awareness at our annual summer party! This year's summer party at our voestalpine Rotec headquarters in Krieglach was a resounding success. Around 500 employees and their families joined the celebration. Alongside delicious BBQ, vibrant music, and activities for kids, we honored our team’s ingenuity. Over 200 continuous improvement ideas were submitted and have largely already been implemented by our Austrian employees last business year. These ideas facilitated process optimizations, enhanced safety, and reduced environmental impact. While saving energy and optimizing processes are key to our journey towards CO2-neutral production, we also focus on raising environmental awareness among our employees. Therefore, we raffled an electric BMW iX1 for a year, including charging at our new on-site stations, along with other great prizes, to all idea submitters. Congratulations to the delighted winners! Delivering excellence: our e-coating solutions for superior corrosion protection At our Romanian voestalpine Rotec site in Timișoara, we provide e-coating for exceptional corrosion protection. Our eco-friendly electrochemical process involves immersing components in a dip bath filled with electrically conductive, water-based paint. This enables precise and ultra-thin application (starting from 15 μm), ensuring consistent coverage even on internal surfaces. Supported by our cutting-edge pretreatment, we guarantee the highest quality coating with superior adhesion and uniform coverage, both externally and internally. What do fire extinguishers, goggles simulating alcohol impairment, personal protective equipment, forklifts and cranes have in common? They were all part of our comprehensive, division-wide #SafetyDays in June. All our voestalpine Rotec sites conducted interactive training stations, engaging both blue and white-collar employees to promote safe and healthy working practices. Around 1,200 voestalpine Rotec employees across 8 countries participated. The sessions were led by 64 internal safety experts supported by additional external health and safety experts, working in small groups of 7-15 participants to ensure focused and personalized training tailored to site-specific needs. A heartfelt thank you to our trainers for their hard work and dedication and to all participants for their commitment to safety. We are thrilled to announce that we have received the prestigious Seating 2023 Excellence in Quality Award from one of our esteemed long-term customers.   In previous years, our sites around the globe have been honored with numerous quality awards from various customers. However, this award, received by voestalpine Rotec North America, holds particular significance as only four suppliers out of a pool of 1,600 were recognized with the ‘Excellence in Quality’ Award by Magna, one of our key customers.   Specializing in complex automotive tubular components, we offer a range of tube components for seating systems, including welded and crimped assemblies, as well as weld-less solutions.   Our unwavering commitment to delivering top-quality products while meeting all delivery schedules throughout 2023 resulted in a perfect score of 100 on the supplier scorecard.   We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated team whose hard work and dedication have made this recognition possible.
