ADHD Australia reposted this
Thrilled for a copy of this to land in my hands. With thanks to Kate O'Brien, Hachette UK, and the range of contributors to a book that seeks to address some of the most pressing matters of our time - not only for young people, but those responsible for their care. I’m pleased to be donating my royalties for this book to Molly Ollys, a UK based charity supporting children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Happy International Women’s Day! Today we celebrate the contributions and achievements of women around the world. But we also recognise the progress needed towards gender equality. There is a clear gender bias in ADHD diagnosis and treatment. In childhood, boys are diagnosed 2-4 times more than girls. But this gap starts to close in adulthood, with more women being late diagnosed. ADHD research needs to catch-up to ensure earlier diagnosis and better support for girls and women with ADHD over their lifespan. #IWD2025 #MarchForward #adhd #adhdawareness

“Music can be really helpful for people with ADHD because it can provide a singular background noise rather than twenty.” Research shows that music can help regulate attention by blocking out distractions. Music increases dopamine, which provides motivation, improves mood and benefits overall wellbeing. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eN7pWuRy #adhd #adhdtips #adhdatwork

Too many employers view workplace adjustments as 'too hard basket', which creates a barrier for people with disability. Research by Australian Disability Network found 56% of employees with disability fear being treated differently if they request workplace adjustments. To break down this barrier, we encourage organisations to proactively offer reasonable accommodations to all employees, such as flexible hours.
