The Queensland Truth-telling and Healing Inquiry will host a Ceremonial Hearing to formally commence their process of completing the picture of the state’s history this Monday 16 September in Meanjin (Brisbane) 10am-12pm. “The Truth-telling and Healing Inquiry is a Queensland-first and I invite everyone to be open to learning more about our state’s history and to approach the Inquiry with respect and curiosity,” Inquiry Chairperson Joshua Creamer. Super proud of the team at ANTAR , The Fred Hollows Foundation, Oxfam and Woolyungah Indigenous Centre (University of Wollongong) for pulling off a fantastic inaugural National Allyship Summit last week... what I'm forecasting will be the first of many. This is the most incredible movement to be a part of. On International Allyship Day Allies for Uluru and the Woolyungah Indigenous Centre at the University of Wollongong held the inaugural National Allyship Summit. The day brought together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous people from across the country to discuss the path forward for the Uluru Statement from the Heart. It was a day full of solidarity, inspiration and hope. To my colleagues at Allies for Uluru and Woolyungah Indigenous Centre - working with you on this event has been an absolute privilege and a highlight of my career. To all the speakers, and leadership of the The Uluru Statement from the Heart - Uluru Dialogue (Official) - thank you for your generosity in sharing your time, energy and knowledge, and for trusting us to carry your messages forward.
