Sharing some good news on the progress Alsco Uniforms has made on solar installations in the Asia Pacific region. Alsco prefers to steer clear of the politics around energy and simply chooses to adopt the philosophy and premise that using less resource is better for our world. A balanced approach to energy is critical and I am delighted to report that we now have solar installed in 8 plants, with another planned shortly. Results are great – Singapore is producing >50% of its site electricity needs from solar, Thailand circa 45%, all the Australian businesses are between 30%-40%. The Australian efforts are enough to power 420 homes for a year. We are now live in Salisbury, Brisbane – our largest system to date and is expected to produce 60% of the electricity we need to operate this site. Fabulous progress against our bold goal to reduce our use of energy and resources by 20% before 2030. We are going to kill that target for sure with multiple energy and utilities reduction strategies in play. Thumbs up to our shareholders in the US supporting these sustainability initiatives and also to our partners Northmore Gordon, Smart Commercial Solar, EnergyAustralia Alsco Uniforms® NZ watch this space – solar coming your way soon Alsco Uniforms Australia, Fred Gardyne, Haris Murtaza, Alsco Uniforms® Singapore,Alsco Uniforms® Thailand
