Kat Wallace, Ampcontrol Talent Acquisition Specialist won the HunterNet Future Leader of the Year Award and Lauren Jones, Ampcontrol Service Administration Team Leader and her team 'Hunter Fab Consulting' took home the win for the night. We're charging into Australia's largest mining event, the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), opening tomorrow in Sydney! We recently hosted Matthias Mikolaj, International Trade Advisor – Construction, Infrastructure and Energy and Ulrike Straka, Consul and Trade Commissioner from the Austrian Trade Delegation on 14 October 2024. During a site tour of our Tomago, NSW workshops, Ben Maytom, Ampcontrol Strategic Growth Lead – Energy Transition, was able to show the work being undertaken in electromotion, including DRIFTEX, the world’s first IECEx Group I certified electric vehicle using an Intrinsically Safe traction battery. We also took them through a tour of our mining workshop to see the solutions developed for underground mining environments. While a proudly Australian company, Ampcontrol is always open to how the innovative solutions coming out of the smart minds of our people can be applied internationally. #PeopleOfAmpcontrol had a wonderful time celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Hunter Manufacturing Awards Inc. in Newcastle on Friday 18 October 2024. While we didn’t take out the win, what incredible company we were in as finalists in the Collaboration Partnership Award with Steber International and the University of Newcastle for developing a plug-in hybrid power and propulsion system for a 43ft Steber vessel. 🏆 A huge congratulations to Out Of The Square and Guts Creative for winning Excellence in Marketing for their contributions to the new Ampcontrol brand—proof we work with the best in the business.
