Recently our Rail & Transit Systems leaders were proud to be a part of the Women in Rail, Roads & Transport Infrastructure Leadership Summit 2025 event. 👏 Natalie Bond and Katy Rowbotham shared their invaluable insights in leadership on two diverse panels covering career setbacks and fuelling leadership growth. With International Women’s Day having just passed, the conference was a wonderful chance for attendees to reflect on #AccelerateAction within rail and transport sectors, and Downer is proud that two of our senior leaders were able to provide their insights. 🙌 A big well done to all speakers who shared their perspectives on leadership! #TheDownerDifference #DownerRail #WomenInRail #IWD2025 #InternationalWomensDay #AccelerateAction Sarah Marshall, Samiha Najem, Rachel Simpson, Jacquelene Brotherton

Downer Transport & Infrastructure, in partnership with Toll Remote Logistics, has been awarded the 2025 ISSA Preservation Performance Award for our work on the 2014-2024 Christmas Island Runway Resurfacing using Microsurfacing! 🏆 This project showcases the long-term success of MicroSurfacing, with the runway exceeding all performance expectations 10 years after installation—a clear demonstration to the power of pavement preservation! We’re honoured to be recognised by the International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA) at the ISSA Annual March meeting where the project’s success and longevity will be officially acknowledged. A huge thank you to Paul Price and team and our partners for making this milestone possible! 👏👏 #Downer #TollRemoteLogistics #ISSA #PavementPreservation #Microsurfacing #Transport #Infrastructure #Sustainability

Rethinking traffic management: Safer, smarter, more efficient! Alongside our key partners Traffic Safe NZ Ltd and ARROWES | Roading Safety, Downer is redefining traffic management. On New Zealand’s largest maintenance project—NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi State Highway 1 Tīrau to Waiouru (T2W)—we’re taking a risk-based approach to Temporary Traffic Management (TTM). Aligned with the New Zealand guide to temporary traffic management (NZGTTM), we’re making TTM a flexible enabler of work. This innovative approach ensures our TTM design and delivery is effective, adaptable, and responsive to specific risks. By integrating risk-based solutions into our strategies, we maintain a balance of safety, efficiency, and quality while meeting project needs. Chris Seath, Project Director of T2W, proudly shares "Condensing four years of rebuilds is no small feat. By taking a risk-based approach and using cutting-edge TTM innovations, the team is making it happen. Tactical highway closures allow full-width work zones, removing the risks of live traffic. It’s not just about speed—it’s about safety and smarter thinking." Watch the video to hear from the experts behind this game-changing approach 👇 This isn’t just about ensuring road safety today—it’s about paving the way for the future of infrastructure delivery in New Zealand. Together, we are creating safer, more efficient roads. 👷♂️👷♀️ #TrafficSafe #SafetyFirst #T2W #Downer #Transport #Infrastructure #RiskBasedTTM #TrafficManagement #Conan #Arrowes #ESeries #NZGTTM #Downerroadsnz Dre McKeown Karl Hitchcock Rob Mackie Craig West @Betty Mitrova @Downer Transport and Infrastructure

We are deeply invested in the communities where Australians and New Zealanders live, work, and play. Focused on fostering local capability, we invest in programs to upskill our workforce and support our partners to grow sustainably, creating more jobs for the future 🤝. ⭐Since partnering with Downer on our South Australia Housing contract in 2022, Streamline Plumbing has upskilled their tradespeople and promoted them into newly created roles, at the same time as increasing risk awareness and enhancing environmental risk management for their on-site staff. 🚀 The company has also seen significant growth, expanding by 50% and adding five more local apprentices to their team. 🖐 We’re proud to work with businesses like Streamline, helping them thrive and contribute to the growth and sustainability of our local communities. #Housing #Streamline #EnablingCommunitiesToThrive #SouthAustralia #ServiceDelivery #TheDownerDifference Arthur Karantonis

💡 Capability. Capacity. Certainty. That’s what Downer brings to power infrastructure delivery—and it’s our people who make it possible. For over 70 years, we’ve delivered transmission line design, construction, and maintenance services across Queensland, working as a trusted partner, not just a contractor. Our proven track record speaks for itself: big projects, done well. People like Shana Galli and Jodie Mayfield are at the heart of our success. Their career journeys show what’s possible when talent meets opportunity: 🔹 Shana took the initiative to upskill from a site administrator to a Zero Harm Advisor—her first role in the field. 🗣️ "I’m excited to be part of this project and to learn from experienced leaders like Jodie. It’s a great opportunity to grow in this role." 🔹 Jodie has built a career from the ground up, with eight years of FIFO experience in Zero Harm and project admin before stepping into her role as a Junior Construction Manager. 🗣️ "We’ve got a skilled team with decades of industry experience. Transmission line work is technical and demanding, and I’m proud to work alongside such an experienced crew." We invest in our people—building careers and supporting growth—because skilled, passionate teams drive The Downer Difference. #PoweringTheFuture #TheDownerDifference #CareerGrowth #TransmissionProjects
