We’re over the moon to announce our triple win at the 2024 Mumbrella Publish Awards! 🎉 Huge congratulations to Lauren de Sousa, who won Designer of the Year, Imogen Eveson, crowned Editor of the Year and the entire team for winning Special Issue of the Year for our 100th Edition, which was beautifully crafted with the help of our former Art Director, Anita Jokovich. We’d also like to recognise Elizabeth Whitehead, who was shortlisted for Single Article of the Year – an incredible achievement in itself.   This is a true team effort. Sales, content, marketing and campaigns all contributed to the commercial success that wowed the judges. We are so excited to share that we have been shortlisted in four categories for the 2024 Mumbrella Publish Awards!   💯 Our milestone 100th Edition has been nominated for Special Edition of the Year. 📚 Imogen Eveson has been nominated for Editor of the Year for her incredible work heading up both the @austtraveller and @internationaltraveller magazines. 🎨 Lauren de Sousa has received a nomination for Designer of the Year, recognising her hard work designing the beautiful magazines you all know and love. 🌅 And Elizabeth Whitehead has been nominated for Single Article of the Year for her six seasons of Kakadu piece in issue 99.   Thank you to Mumbrella for recognising us in these awards!

We were on the first Bonza flight back in January 2023, and are devastated by the news this morning that Bonza has been put into receivership. We are thinking of all those that will personally be impacted by this development; the Bonza employees, the regional Australian communities that will lose vital aviation access and the tourism businesses who will be impacted. But most importantly the Australian travellers who have had their travel plans extinguished at the very last moment and who will probably face a long battle to try and get some or all of their money back from the airline. Now is not the time to dissect the reasons for the failure of Bonza, but highlights just how tough aviation and tourism in Australia can be. We prefer to view this development as highlighting the greatness of our successful tourism businesses in Australia, many of whom are small family-owned businesses. We salute them for their resilience and passion to continually deliver outstanding experiences for all visitors. #tourism #aviation #bonza
