BHF at IPSANZ24 – Queenstown, NZ by Dougal Phillips Alasdair Doctor and I had the great privilege to spend last week amongst the brilliant IP minds assembled at the 37th IPSANZ Annual Conference held from 30 August – 1 September 2024, in glorious Queenstown, NZ. A smorgasbord of fascinating topics was on offer, from indigenous cultural and intellectual property within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori frameworks, to deepfakes, dishwasher tablets, and video games; and featuring star-studded panels on discretion in granting injunctive relief to how to manage a patent portfolio from spacecraft and hydrogen-fuelled planes in the air down to electric bikes on the ground. Many thanks to the committees of IPSANZ - The Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand Inc. for organising such a fantastic and insightful program. We are already counting down the days ‘til next year…
