💧 Innovative Dam Covers Trialled in WA 💧 We're thrilled to see Water Corporation’s pilot project come to life in WA, aimed at minimising water evaporation through innovative floating dam covers. These covers, made from 100% recycled plastic and manufactured in Melbourne, have been installed by Benang on three dams in the Great Southern region. These covers are not only reducing evaporation and boosting water security but also helping to ensure a reliable water supply for local communities and agriculture. This could mean more stable water resources for farming, better environmental management, and enhanced community resilience. Mia Davies MLA invited four students from Northam Senior High School and Merredin College’s Follow the Dream programs to the Business News ‘Indigenous Business in Western Australia’ event at the Crown Ballroom last month. The students had an incredible experience! They got to chat with Mia and listen to inspiring stories from private entrepreneurs and established Aboriginal Corporations about the future of Indigenous enterprise in WA. A special highlight was meeting Jasmine Kadic, the Managing Director of Benang(which means "Tomorrow" in Noongar). We were proud to see two CCF WA Members represented on the panel at Business News' Indigenous Business Lunch today.
