The BetterLabs team immersed themselves in our annual outing to West Tech Fest 2024. Always enjoy hearing from the usual suspects, seeing some of our portfolio founders up on stage (👀 Bernadette Olivier), and lots of familiar faces from the WA ecosystem (Plus Eight alum, Spacecubed crew, Purpose Ventures fam). BetterLabs CEO James Edwards and BetterLabs Studio spin-out Plant with Willow co-founder James Shamim joined the Plus Eight 2024 cohort on their trip to London last week 💂🏻🏰 While there, participants had the chance to dive into the UK Global Entrepreneurs Program and learn about international recruitment strategies with Propel at Australia House. They had discussions on banking for global expansion with Axiom Banking and steps to expand internationally with experts from Menzies LLP. The cohort were also able to learn about channel partnerships and creating an international brand with Bridgehead. Following this, they pitched their innovative ideas to representatives from Octopus Ventures, one of the largest and most active venture capital investors in Europe.
