Project Completion!!! It's certainly not lost on us that our projects are so much more than a job for our people, and our business. It's where people learn and develop their skills while they earn a living for their families. It's where people live together, laugh together and enjoy moments together. With another project successfully handed over to our client the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics, rather than sharing a myriad of completion photos of the finished product, we wanted to share some moments that make our 'camp jobs' such a great place to work. This culture is built from our leaders Adam and Andrew, and fostered by Amanda and Wendy in the camp. No project is without it's challenges, but the foundation of support, teamwork and resilience will always prevail. Well done to the Stuart Highway Cotton Gin Intersection project team for delivering an outstanding product for our client, and congratulations on building such a strong team culture throughout this project. #blackcatcivil #bccprojects #camplife #fifo #cottongin #hutchos #rodney #greatjobteam

PROJECT COMPLETION!!! There's never been a better time to head down Drimmie Head Rd to the Gove Boat Club to enjoy the picturesque scenery, after our team recently completed works on behalf of our client, the Department of Infrastructure. It's a fantastic end product, and one the team should be really proud of. Well done Matty, Glen and the whole DHR support cast. #blackcatcivil #bccprojects #dhrteam #awesomeworkteam

Black Cat Civil is thrilled to have joined forces with the fantastic people at the Clontarf Foundation, who exist to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men. As part of our partnership, Black Cat Civil was invited to the Clontarf Foundation's Top End Employment Forum, hosted at Charles Darwin University last week. Facilitating employment opportunities for First Nations people will always be a core purpose of the Black Cat Civil business. #blackcatcivil #clontarffoundation #partnership #employmentopportunities

Our Cotton Gin Intersection team was thrilled to have had an unexpected guest to camp recently, as Zac passed through our site during his journey walking from Darwin to Perth, to raise $ 250,000 for the Black Dog Institute. We will let Zac's post tell the story, as he was treated to one of Amanda and Wendy's famous camp-cooked meals. What a fantastic young Australian! #blackcatcivil #zacspathtoperth #mentalhealth #cottonginteam #camplife

Written into Black Cat Civil folklore is the directive that Brendan will never sell a CAT 140H series Grader, such is his affinity with this model of tractor. In arguably the largest undertaking by a Black Cat Civil Workshop team, one of our longest-serving assets in the Fleet, BC22, received the ultimate 'Birthday'! Over the course of many months, BC22 has undergone the following transformation: * 20,000hr machine overhaul. * Stripped to bare chassis with cab off. * Major components rebuilt and bench tested. * Complete rebuild of driveline. * Main frame line bore to caterpillar specifications. * All hydraulic cylinders were rebuilt or replaced. * All wiring harnesses were rebuilt or replaced. There were plenty of challenges along the journey that were navigated by the team when such a significant rebuild is undertaken, but the dedication and commitment of the workshop team were unwavering. Lessons and efficiencies taken from this project will allow Black Cat Civil to expand our internal rebuild capabilities for future Fleet projects. We are extremely proud of the team and are ready to release BC22 back into its natural habitat, following a facelift that The Real Housewives of Melbourne would be proud of. Congratulations all involved. #blackcatcivil #bccfleet #cat140h #workshop #thatsatractor #thatsafacelift
