About us
Bloom helps young people create meaningful work and change in the community. In 2013, Bloom started as a series of meet ups for students interested in entrepreneurship, and rapidly grew from there. Fast forward to August 2015, and the BloomLab was launched at St Catherine’s College by Dr Michael Chaney AO. At Bloom we have grown to support startups, NGOs and small business operating out the of our co-working space and enrolled in the Launchpad unit. The Launchpad unit run in partnership with the University of Western Australia, allows students of any university to gain academic credit for working on their startups. As a non-for-profit we have partnered with the University of Western Australia, Woodside, RAC and Squire Patton Boggs to deliver the support to entrepreneurs through funding and business services. We have become the first touch point for many in the Perth start up community with members and supporters present at Ivy League Incubators and in Forbes 30 under 30. We are transitioning into a centre for innovation and are always looking to expand our community. Our vision is to create an accessible community where young ideas can thrive and entrepreneurs can grow. Our mission is to empower young entrepreneurs with the mindset, skillset and support required to solve complex problems and create amazing things.

Can't wait for another year of ideas and insights!
How might we build innovative learning experiences that help our students develop the skillsets, mindsets, and experiences required to thrive in the ever-changing future of work? Our EduFest WA 2024 attendees asked themselves this question as part of our design sprint that saw educators coming together from across schools and systems to develop impacful initiatives for their school community. As we settle into the 2025 school year, we've loved seeing all of the exciting work being led in schools across the state, and we can't wait to showcase the impact being made by our community of innovative educators at EduFest WA later this year!
