Homelessness is a key risk factor for child sexual abuse. If we support and care for our young people we can keep them safe from harm. While homelessness lies outside Bravehearts’ scope of work, there are other organisations taking action on youth homelessness and they deserve our support. Hometime is a worthy campaign calling for the construction of youth housing, linked support services and fixing rent access for young people. Bravehearts' Vision is a world where people, communities and systems all work together to protect children from sexual abuse. Our programs and services include: - Specialist counselling for children who have been or are at risk of child sexual assault, along with support for non-offending family members; - Professional advocacy and support; - Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure -- A live school-based personal safety education program for children; - Resources for families and survivors, including interactive materials and workshops - Research and lobbying; - Community awareness campaigns.
