Adjusting to parenthood can be overwhelming, with many new parents experiencing high levels of stress, anxiety and, sometimes, depression. Sadly, 100,000 parents experience perinatal depression and anxiety (PNDA) in Australia every year. We are so excited to support those from NOVA who are using one of their #GiveBackDays and are walking with Gidget Foundation Australia this Thursday, 24 October, to help open the 50th Gidget House. Their efforts will help provide free, face-to-face specialist mental health support to help new parents during their darkest moments. NOVA Entertainment celebrated a successful night at the 2024 Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs), securing awards across the business. Among the highlights, Andrew ‘Hayesy’ Hayes, host of Nova 919’s Jodie & Hayesy Breakfast Show, won The Brenno / Best New Talent On Air – Radio (Metro), while Ben, Liam & Belle took home Best Comedy Segment for the second year in a row for their Aussie We Didn't Start The Fire segment. Head of Music for the Nova Network, Scott Baker-Smith, was also recognised as Music Director of the Year. Our Marketing Team not only took home Marketing Team of the Year, but also won Best Marketing Campaign with their work on Smooth FM’s Together in Music. Our Adelaide Direct Sales Team also had an outstanding night, winning Sales Team of the Year (Metro). Additionally, Darren Russell & Eddie Bye took home Best Stationed Produced Commercial Campaign (Metro). To top it all off, we took home the Diversity & Inclusion award with Sound Future, our commitment to use our voice for good.
