Emerging markets and developing economies generate 72% of global emissions but receive less than 15% of global clean energy investment. With close to two thirds of the US$15 trillion of investment needed to transition these markets over the next decade having to come from the private sector, Brookfield’s Catalytic Transition Fund is helping accelerate the decarbonisation of chronically underinvested markets around Asia Pacific. Luke Edwards spoke with Giuseppe 'Joseph' Jacobelli岳启尧 on the The Asia Climate Finance Podcast about the energy transition in Asia and the significant investment opportunity it presents.

Corporate pull leads and policy changes won’t impact Brookfield’s long-term investment in the clean energy #transition given growing demand for reliable and affordable power. That’s the view shared by Brookfield’s Senior Adviser Gayle Miller and Head of Australia and New Zealand for Brookfield's Renewable Power and Transition Group Luke Edwards when they spoke to The Australian Financial Review. The power demands from #datacentres are also supporting our investment strategy for clean energy.

Gayle concluded the session with one lesson: “No one can make you feel insecure without your permission;” and one piece of advice: “Lean into your power.”
